| Fear Factor "Seeing Double" 01-05-04 recap Fear Factor 01-05-04 Welcome back to an all new episode of everyone’s favorite game show! Tonight, we get a special “Twins” edition. Let’s meet the look-a-likes: Rick & Rod Carter – from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Rick is in sales, and Rod is a massage therapist. These two are well built and could be trouble. Tammy & Debbie Young – Math teachers from Wadsworth, Ohio. I’ve got it bad, got it bad, got it bad, I’m hot for teacher. Wow. Slade & Trask Bradbury – From Phoenix, Arizona. Slade is a student and Trask is a climbing guide. I want to know what their parents were on when they named these two, wtf? Becky & Jessie O’Donohue – Wedding singers from Dobbs Ferry, New York. Oh my, they almost make me want to get married just so I can drool. I don’t think my bride would be happy though. The gang walks down a winding road and meet up with host Joe Rogan. He greets them, goes over the rules, and lets them in on their first stunt: Guess what?...A helicopter! Each twin will hang from one of the skids as the chopper flies over the lake. One at a time, they will let go and try to land on a stack of boxes, and grab a flag. If they miss the boxes, they must swim out to the “penalty buoy” and grab a flag. Once they have the flags, they must swim to a raft and clip them to a pole. The clock starts as soon as they let go of the skid, and stops when the second flag is attached. The three fastest twins will move on. Becky & Jessie are up first, and of course are in matching electric blue bikinis. Mercy. They grab the skids and take off, with their hair magically braided. Becky (I think) lets go first and completely misses the boxes and heads toward the penalty flag. Jessie (I think) manages to clip the corner of the boxes, but hits the water as well. One is somewhat of a better swimmer and makes it to the raft in about a minute and a half. The other struggles to the raft and up the ladder. They finish with a time of 2:03. Rick & Rod are up next, and I don’t believe my ears. They used to be lifeguards! Finally, a couple of black guys that can swim. I hope you’re paying attention MB. They get going and both hit the edge and end up in the water. They prove that they are in deed good swimmers as they both make it to the raft and clip the flags in 1:44. They seem to be a bit exhausted and head over to the medical area to get some oxygen and fluids. They’ll be ok though. Slade & Trask are next, and while Slade misses, Trask is able to hold on and get the flag from the top of the boxes. He heads for the raft as Slade swims to the buoy. Trask clips his flag at about 1 minute, and shouts encouragement to his brother. Slade makes it to the raft and attaches his flag in 1:30. Tammy & Debbie close this out in matching burgundy bikinis. Tammy lets go early and slams into the front of the boxes. Ouch, that had to hurt. Debbie sticks her landing and takes the flag. Debbie slowly makes her way up onto the raft with Tammy trailing. Everyone is shouting as Tammy climbs the ladder with Debbie helping her up. She clips the flag at 1:57. That sends Becky & Jessie home. I am sad. The remaining twins make their way down a dirt road and meet Joe in front of an old wooden barn type house. He directs their attention to the next stunt: Bee Shirts One twin will be shackled, arms and legs, between two posts and covered with pheromones and live honey bees. The other twin will have to search through drawers in the hives to find the 4 keys to the locks. The slowest set of twins will be sent home. T & D are up first and seem a little nervous. Debbie has offered to be shackled, and the beekeeper brings out the bees. You can barely see her t-shirt through all of the little critters, that’s freaky. After a false start, Tammy finds a key right away, but goes through 3 locks before one opens. She runs back to the boxes, and after poking around a bit, decides to dump the box on the ground. She has trouble finding the key, and is wasting valuable time. She eventually gets it and the next 2 very quickly. The last lock opens at 1:55 with Tammy in tears. They head off to get their stings taken care of, and T says they stopped counting after 30. Geez. R & R are next, and Rick is getting covered. Rod gets underway in a very deliberate pace, and gets the first 2 fairly quickly. He gets the other 2 just as fast and they finish with a time of 1:10. That will be tough to beat. S & T close this out, and I don’t know which one is which. Non shackled twin takes off and is very tentative while looking through the boxes. He fights through the swarm and gets the final lock at 1:18. Hmm, it seemed a lot longer than that. That means Tammy and Debbie are going home. I am very sad now. Well, that’ll do it for tonight’s show…wait…what? Oh yeah, we still have the guys. We find the guys walking through what looks like an abandoned motel. They walk up to the leaf covered pool and are welcomed by Joe. He congratulates them on getting this far, and shows them the final stunt: Soggy Dummies Both twins will be strapped in the front seat of a car as it’s lowered into the murky pool. When it hits the bottom, a light will come on signaling them to free themselves, free the crash test dummies in the back seat, and finally get the dummies to the designated area at the side of the pool. The clock starts when the light goes on and stops when both dummies are on the deck. The fastest time will win. R & R lose the coin toss and will go first. They get into position, and the car is lowered. The light comes on and they immediately roll the windows down before reaching for the dummies. They unbuckle, turn and grab the dummies, and head for the surface. At the surface, they make a straight line for the deck and place their dummies in a time of 19.3 seconds. They didn’t seem to have any trouble at all, that’ll be tough to beat. S & T get ready and get underway. They use the same strategy, and look to be about even. The clock disappears as the break the surface, so you know it will be close. One of them misses the designated drop area, and has to move it over a few feet before the clock stops. That may have cost them. Joe tells them to come over and join R & R before giving the official time. That time is 18 seconds. Ladies and Gentlemen, the guys with the funny names – Slade & Trask – are your “Twin” Fear Factor champions. Next week: 9 couples will fight for a 1 million dollar prize! ![]() Great recap, as always. You rock! Weird, but Murfreesboro, TN is just down the road from me. Seriously. It's the first time ever in reality TV history that someone has been on a reality show from a town I drive thru every day. Weird, but completely irrelevant ![]() | ||

| Shoot! I saw the description on Tivo and thought it was a twins repeat so I didn't tune in. Thanks for calling all the action, I don't feel like I missed a thing.
