These judges are so narrow-minded. Not everyone is keeping tabs on the latest music or whatever. I bet Angel has seen b-girls before but she had no idea that was related to hip-hop.

Wow...I always thought they were KIDDING or exaggerating about Uppity Ups thinking of middle America as "fly over country"!!!!

I live in California and my teen daughter and I had to log onto the internet to find the definition of a b-girl. And even having been given it...we would not be able to describe how Hip Hop fashion looks from year to year. Our total exposure to Hip Hop is on So You Think You Can Dance...and we are not too sure that it is accurate! I THINK my niece, who is Dutch and lives in Holland with a Greek rapper might know...but, again, totally NOT sure!

ok this is what i cant figure out about Johnny. How stupid are you to go thru all that hard work to get on a cable reality tv show and then say send me home i dont care anymore?! Basically saying i dont care about the $125,000 anymore! WTF?! I hope for Johnny's sake the producers or someone else is telling him to say that simply to create drama on this show b/c he is coming off as the biggest dumb ass!

I am convinced he stayed b/c he is "better tv" than poor Angel. UGH! this is really getting on my nerves.

I get Reco's point about how much he loves his profession, but IMO, it came across rather badly. He made a fool of himself. Watching that bit, I felt embarrassed for him. He is obviously very talented and out-spoken, but if other ppl don't really feel committed, the judges will sort that out b/c their work will show it. I'm sorry to admit it, but I liked Johnny's shorts. The top was very homemade w a Simplicity pattern.

I used to be a grade8 teacher. I did not know what a B-girl was either. I thought a B*tch? Then they started to talk about hip-hop fashion. Oh, okay. I liked Angel's blue vest. It was cute and wearable. I think Kelly made a pt that designers should know about major fashion trends whether they are into them or not. However, I thought she embarrassed herself too, maybe by being too personally insulted by Angel's ignorance.

I wondered about the "insulted" part too. How was that an insult? Kelly certainly doesn't appear to be the b-girl type, so why did she take it personally? Why not comment on the Asian model being in the 'nerd' group, complete with the stereotypical horned-rimmed glasses?

As far as Reco goes im gonna have to disagree with ya. I think he was totally on spot for saying what he did and i can understand where he's coming from, there are designers on that show that really try hard and really want to win and then theres Johnny who just doesnt seem to even care about the $125,000 prize.

No i didnt like Jhnny's shorts at all. What threw me off the most were those fringe thingys on the back of the shorts...weird IMO.

I do agree with though on your 2nd point about the B-girl stuff. Didnt know what it was either and right on about Kelly! Still tuff break for Angel all around
