OK friends, I'm out of here. Going to watch the IACGMOOH I recorded. And hate myself for not having the intestinal fortitude to just say no. I am so weak ....................

That's what really bugs me about this show. There's a lot of aspects I like, but the shots of the outfits are horrible. I had NO idea that anything on Daniella's dress was navy.

Kudos (or kudd'dos for RHONYC fans ) to Daniella for using boning in the dress, but Reco should have won because the piping detail was perfect (his ego be damned ). James-Paul should have been in the bottom 3; that ill-fitting "jacket" thing made his client look huge and was just sad. Actually, I wish they'd let the designers have a bit more time for fitting the models. I know next week's challenge is going to be a time crunch, but fitting is important for custom-tailoring.

Yes

Spot-on analysis here.

Reco may be ego-tripping but I would buy his clothes! In fact, if I got to pick a personal designer from this group, it would be a no-brainer...Reco!

And, that thing (I refuse to call it a garment) that Angel produced was just sad. I'd rather mammy whip me up something from a set of curtains than wear anything that resembles that purple nightmare.

None of the designs impressed me. I didn't think Keith's was the worst. Merlin and Angel's looked cheap and sloppy. I wish they would tell us how many people actually bought the winning outift from week to week. That would be intersting to know.

Re: 6/4 Show Discussion ***Spoilers***

I thought Jean Paul was sweet and innovative, but he seems to make the same kind of hanging dress, and now these comments... What would he had done if he had gotten one of those women they used in that episode of PR with the designers' relatives? Angel has great ideas, but her time management stinks. It is getting annoying to hear that guy yelling at her to move it right before the show. I hate the time constraints. I mean, a real designer spends six months getting a collection together. I know if they gave them more time it wouldn't be as dramatic, but I think most people tune into these shows for the talent. And speaking of drama, it looks like Reco's mouth is going to get him in trouble. Maybe not next episode, although they seem to be hinting that, but I think it is just a matter of time. He should just shut up and do his work. His skills are outstanding. And is Merlin going to turn into this show's Santino?

I so agree with you on this one. I didn't think Dani's was all that hot. Reco's outfit was more refine and very detailed. Dani's looked like something you get from a Butterick pattern. She's done black/navy before, so I was hoping for something more colorful. I love the design on Lidia's dress and the colors were peferct for her model's skin tone.

I thought I was the only one who noticed that. Does he even really know how to make a form fitting dress?

That's what I didn't get about Danielle. She's not a size 2 herself, does she make her own clothes? I am really starting to not like her attitude.
