Boy if there was ever two people that needed to break up, its Melissa and Rick. He is desperate to find a wife/friend and she is not into getting seriously involved with everyday relationship dealings at all.

I don't like the way Rick is taking out his displeasure at Melissa on poor Emily. She's trying so hard to do her work and I think that's going to be a really crappy place to work if he keeps up that attitude.

Are these new episodes? I have forfeited my Family Plots fix for the likes of For Love or Money and have missed it the past few weeks because I thought these were reruns. But, this doesn't sound like something I've seen..

I couldn't decide who I sympathized with more last night. It looks like Rick put up with alot over 2 years and it looks like she took him for a ride. It also looks like whatever financial problems he had are now gone, since he can afford a plane. I did think it was funny that the only person who seemed truly happy about everything was Chuck. As soon as I saw the "story" for this episode, I knew that Melissa would break up with him. What little I've seen of her and heard her say, she didn't strike me as someone who wanted a long term relationship.

There's more than one way to afford a plane....especially if you're a convicted embezzler

It's funny you say that. I was kinda surprised that for someone who had such financial problems, he sure seems to be doing alright for himself (with apparently little effort).

Here is what I am curious about... Melissa only works part time... how does she afford to shop? The girl had a serious shoe habit. Plus rent... cat food... the basic stuff. Was Rick footing her bills all this time? I remember there was mention of him requesting his credit cards back from her when he broke up with her... It all just got me curious if he had been supporting her the last 2 years. I find it hard to believe part time work would pay the rent and feed the cats.

And I was surprise that Rick is 57. I was thinking more like 47. How old is Melissa?
