Didn't anyone notice how cruel it was to just whisk Lauren off the stage without a goodbye? What was that? At least on AI, everyone got a chance to say good bye and they got to sing a song on camera. She was just gone in a flash and she was so sweet to the other contestants. No one got to give her a hug or anything. They should have brought both her and Gary on at the end and said a proper good bye. Total lack of class.

I agree, I thought the way they eliminated the contestants was rude. Joey just said "Lauren, you're going home." and that was it, no goodbye, nothing. The show seemed very rushed though, I think with eliminations, a group performance, 10 solo performances and time for at least 1 of the judges to talk all in 1 hour they just didn't have time for goodbyes. Maybe with only 8 performances next week they'll have more time.

I have to agree with you on this one.

Let's hope they see the errors of their ways. Whom ever is voted off should be acknowledged with a last song and some applause.

Shame on Fame is right. It was rude and crude to just tell Lauren she was leaving and escort her off. I felt so sorry for her because she was so gracious to all the other contestants and they had her out in front looking sweet and angelic. She is one class act and handled herself well. The producers owe her an apology and should announce next week that they were sorry the way it was handled. The other contestants didn't even get to tell her good bye the way they did on AI. Fame seems to cut a lot of corners.

Boy you couldn't be more right. That was just cold. They didn't do that to Gary. (They actually let him sing his number for the audience after the taping was over, I'm told)

I agree with all of you. I don't like the way they try to string along the results to build suspense. It must be terrible to be waiting, have your name called and be expected to perform in 3 seconds! And for those voted off, nothing!!! And they have practised all week!!!

If you notice the credits at the end it admits the show has been EDITED but not in a way that changes the *outcome*. If you'd been at the taping it probably wasn't as sudden as it seemed on television. That's what I suspect.
