I thought the same thing, but many of the clips they showed of Paul in the previews were for things not shown on the show, which is where I got confused with it. I know off the top of my head that one of them looked like him working the dinner show at the Excalibur. It seemed like a montage of things that the teams had to do "working their way up" with Wayne Newton talking about if they couldn't handle these things, they'd never be able to handle their own show (or something to that effect). I just wish that if they are using these as a review of what happened that we'd actually seen even a minute or two of the footage to begin with.

Hey, Libra, good to see you. I find this show terribly disjointed and poorly edited. Not to mention, I'm still trying to understand what all the ridiculous tasks of washing dogs and massaging feet has to do with performing on a stage. I mean, I get that one has to work their way up to being a Las Vegas icon, but this last show was insane. I'd much rather witness their talent and see them shine doing what they are passionate about. Entertain me...PLEASE!

My thoughts as well. Jennifer really has her act together (*groan*). Of the singers, she is the best, followed closely by Delicious Crisco.

However, I hate her looks - so much so that I would hate to see her win (sorry lasvegasfan). Isn't that catty and shallow of me?

I really like the angle of this show that this isn't just about talent, but finding a performer who can connect on a personal level with the audience.

That is why I think Jacqui is out soon - no charisma what so ever.

Theresa - gone. Posing is not a sufficient substitute for lack of personality. (Great posture, though.)

Sarahdarling - pack your bags. Pretty girl, good voice, not assertive enough to carry a show.

The men are more of a blur to me...

The Prop Comic is pretty good - I like his attitude of doing whatever he needs to do to get the job done. However, I find prop comics very annoying (Actually, doesn't everybody? Who goes to see those people, anyway?) so the jury is out on him still.

The Other Comic - I mix these two guys up a lot, so that can't be a good sign for either of them - or me!

Nathan - Impressive magician, charisma factor unknown. He is a pretty ordinary looking guy though, and that can't help him. (Here comes that catty woman again...)

Delicous Crisco - has a great shot at this thing. At first I found him to be a wet rag off-stage, but that short time we saw him performing he seemed to come alive. Plus, I liked his impromptu song at the"victory party". If he can dance, (and Jennifer can't) he is serious competition.

    Well, there's my .02.

    Not that anyone asked !

I have to admit I'm rooting for her. But only because I know her. She is a sweet girl, but after taking a bit part in a film (Coyote Ugly) without knowing what she was going to be doing, we used to joke that she was so naive, one day she's going to "accidentally" do porn. I'm really hoping she's going to learn from the mistakes she's made so far. She's not the sharpest tool in the box, but she's much smarter than the impression she's given so far.

However, I will not at all be surprised if she gets elimated soon. But for me, this show isn't worth watching if she's not on it.

The preview was confusing. I hope the producers didn't whimp out and let him back in, even if it was just to annoy the others.

LOL, no offense taken. Whenever I see Sarah or Theresa, sometimes it just doesnt click like it does with Jennifer.

I wonder how many foot massages and dog washings Wayne did on his way to stardom?
Though the foot massage was a silly thing decided on by the leader of the group instead of spending her time err... ummm... leading!

Side note: Did anyone else notice the terrible hair-piece Wayne has? eek!

The show is pretty weak on the editing and flow side of things, I think they have a good group of talented people to work with, but if I didn't know one of the performers personally I wouldn't be tuning in!

Thank you for the welcome Roseskid!

I agree on the editing and I also don't like that little one minute(if it's that long) segment towards the end of the show.
I'm assuming that the challanges represent how much the folks can handle the pressure of "performing" on short notice assuming of course everything is on the up and up. My cynical side is showing.

I think Wayne was given some poor advice on the show layout. It's obviously a carbon copy of The Apprentice with the bizarre tasks they were doing Sunday. But the idea of the show is not to find an apprentice for him, but to find an act for his show, so it makes no sense to me.

Like I've said before, I can only hope the next episode is more on track, and these talented people will be allowed to perform and entertain us. Watching them run around the hotel, ordering flowers and washing dogs, is not entertainment.

I think the point of doing all the seemingly unrelated tasks is to see how capable they are at taking charge, planning and excuting, etc because the entertainment business is much more than just exibiting your talent. We have AI for that.

The truth is, Wayne wants a piece of the reality show action. It is the thing to do now with Trump, Branson, Cuban and Martha plumping their pockets and visibility. Sure he will get an opening act out of it, but that can't be all that difficult for him to do! It is all about being in the news.

I am going to sit back and be entertained. I am liking this so far and you will have to admit that his hair do is fascinating. What is he thinking?

The nouveaux riche and their passion for the rococo and gold leaf continues to astound me.
