As of 3:39pm ET, Mad River is still in 74th, and Skechers WEP is in 80th (I think that's a mis-read up there, BF. It looks like an 88, but it's between 79 and 81).

There are 81 teams in it, in case anyone wonders how far back those teams are.

6 teams have hit the 4rd checkpoint, with Spie in the lead.

    Other notable teams:

Kodak Watersport, with Star Wars actor Hayden Christiansen, currently 81st (dead last)

Smirnoff Ice Payboy X-treme, with 3 Playboy Bunnies and a veteran racer, currently 68th!

Bulafiji.com, a team of Fijian locals who aren't expected to perform up to par, currently 18th.

By the way, I'm rooting for team GoLite/Balance Bar, which used to be team Eco-Internet. They rock! Currently 6th.

One more...Team N.Y.S.T., composed of all NY State Troopers, who had to withdraw from the New Zealand race last year because of 9/11, are back and currently running in 67th place (the Bunnies are chasing them, which isn't a bad place to be, in my mind)

OOOh, we should definitely send a word of support to the NY state trooper guys.

    Good for them!

I didn't like EcoInternet as much as Earthlink And I totally missed the Hayden team!

You know...I really hope that next year when they air this it isn't too OTT with all the "celeb" teams. As much as I like that they are in it, the beauty of the Eco Challenge has always been the purity of the competition. I really think MB blemished that when he had the retarded Playboy bunny team.

I think the Payboy Bunny team should drop a place back, and run the race in 69th place. Wouldn't that be hilarious?
