John, they have a different female player, but the three guys are the same
We must have been posting at the same time -- see page 1.

BB8 - A "conveyor belt of human garbage." ("Pono" - 9/07)
Ah. I missed that. I was looking for the female member, because she was the only one I knew I'd recognize.
Don't worry John, I know you and Paulie are only checking out the females!was looking for the female member![]()

Actually, she's the only one I remember from the team, and only because I thought her accent was pretty neat. She was also usually the one talking during the "confessionals".
Wow! I just read that the Brazilian team was disqualified due to one of the girls getting an infection.

All teams we've been tracking have been disqualified, except of course the Playboy team, which is still "unranked".
Disqualified means the teams have chosen not to continue on, and have completely stopped racing. Unranked means they have decided to continue on racing, without at least one of their teammates. They don't get a score, but instead just the satisfaction of having finished it, and in this case, extra footage for Markie.
There are only 27 teams still in the race, and only 8 who even have a shot in hell of winning (or probably even finishing).
Listed below are the teams, and the most recent checkpoint they've gone through. There are 18 total CP's before the finish.
1) Seagate.com NZ (16) - last year's PureNZ
2) GoLite/Balance Bar (15) - last year's Eco-Internet
3) Air Pacific (15)
4) Mazda (13)
5) Montrail/Parallax (13)
6) Spie (13)
7) Earthlink (13) - some of last year's Eco-Internet
8) Nokia Adventure (12)
Mad River made it through CP 6, as did Americas Airforce, before quitting.
Good job, both teams....And everyone who attempted the race, no matter how far you made it.
Go GoLite!!!
Noooooooooooooooooooo!Mad River made it through CP 6, as did Americas Airforce, before quitting.
Oh well, at least they tried.

I'm just amazed, exactly one-third of the teams that started the race are still in it. How tough does a race have to be when 2/3 of the toughest competitors in the world drop out?
