While I agree with you in general, I would say this competition is not necessarily about Jason's (or the male celebrity's) performance. I think it's evident from past seasons that a male celeb doesn't necessarily have to dance better than his female counterparts if he has a great female pro dancing with him. Case in point: Julianne/Helio vs. Max/Mel B.

DancingDad, I agree with your assessment as I find I generally do. Jason was very good, but I did see some stiff arms in some of his moves. I also think he needs more content to keep him moving instead of thinking.

Sorry, BluesSongstress, but I do not agree that Mel B's dancing was better than Helio's. I think each had week's in which they were at the top, but I felt Helio's overall performance was stronger than Mel's in most of the criteria I use.

I'm kind of cranky tonight. As much as I think Edyta is charming, I'm ready for a break. I'm not an expert, but her choreography isn't interesting to me. I get bored watch how far she can stretch her legs.

I think we're reaching the point in the competition where choreography will make a difference ... and I hope that doesn't harm Jason (although I expect it to ... Edyta is one of the girls who likes to choreograph their male partners to be poles for them to dance on.)

I just read that Jason's wife was not at the competition this week due to the death of her grandfather who whe was very close to. That somewhat explains Jason's performance that was not up to his usual high standard. My condolences go out to jason and his family. He really does seem like a classy guy.

Gosh when they found out they were safe, the look on their face. It was genuine happiness. It made me think that they really want to be here which is so endearing. Especially after such a hard week for Jason.

I really like this guy. True, his dancing this week was not up to his usual level, but he is a real class act and is basically a good dancer. Do I think he should win it? No, but I hope he stays a lot longer.
