BACKGROUND:
The James Beard Award-winning celebrity chef and author Rocco DiSpirito combines his world-class cooking with a passion for empowering home cooks. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Rocco opened the 3-star Union Pacific in New York City in 1997. In 2003 he launched Rocco's for the reality series, The Restaurant. Rocco will next appear on the A&E series, Rocco Gets Real, beginning in October, along with its companion cookbook, Rocco Gets Real: Cook at Home Every Day.

I like Rocco....I hope my opinion doesn't change watching him on this...not too crazy about Karina as a partner tho!

I've never seen him on TV, so I don't like or dislike him. But from what I'm reading, he is pretty obnoxious? If he is, then Karina will be both a perfect & bad partner for him... I don't like her.

Okay, I'll admit it. I had a little wrestling match going on in my mind before clicking on his thread. Part of me (obviously the part that won out) wanted to so I could write something to slam him. Part of me didn't want the number of views of his thread or posts in his thread to go up, because that could be seen in some ways as an indication of his being popular. Ick! Yuck! Gross! I hate it when he darkens the door of Top Chef by making guest appearances, and I hate that he's going to be on DWTS. I hope that he has less dancing ability than Tucker Carlson and is sent packing soon so I can be back to the nice comfy confines of my DWTS happy land.

I sort of like Rocco and will be interested in seeing if he can dance. I doubt that he'll be as obnoxious on this show as he was on his own.

SOMEONE has to be voted off first, so we can see everyone else for more than one week. Rocco is this season's cannon-fodder.

Rocco is a huge jerk, so maybe this is just desserts for the dancer on the show who reportedly has the worst attitude.
