I am trying for the life of me to imagine Kim Kardashian actually putting in the kind of hard work and effort required in this competition. What does she think she's going to do - model all of the gaudy costumes every week? This time she will actually have to DO something. Mark can use very challenging and intricate choreography, so she is going to have to try to keep up. He got lucky last time with Kristi and they were able to dance at near professional level. I don't envy his task with Kim.

Susan Lucci will be this season's Marie Osmond. She's a soap star and big star on QVC. There will be no getting rid of her. Makes me sick because she's a total diva-- the kind that hides it with a brilliant smile.

I don't mean to sound mean, I just hate to lose the good dancers (or performers) so fast when a mediocre one hangs on and on due to rabid fans...

This is interesting! I wonder what dance style. Maybe west coast swing since they added Lacey. Or maybe the salsa.

Max and Cheryl endorse Obama on Access Hollywood. I'm so happy they didn't decline to state when asked. This isn't a rumor or speculation, but I didn't know where to post this.

They didn't say whether or not Michelle's and Barack's dancing on Ellen influenced them. Probably not.

Apparently they're also adding a guest judge-or rather a fill in judge for Len. He's doing both Strictly Come Dancing and DWTS this season and has to fly back and forth. The guest judge(s) will be filling in for him when he's not there. I've read this sentiment on other boards and I share it, I'm a little worried about the angle they're going with this season. Kim Kardashian seems like a train wreck to cast, and seriously if I had to hear one more thing about her toe on the news...casting Cloris Leachman, adding a new dance style, which I honestly hope wasn't to benefit Lacey. And then adding her, someone from another reality show (even if she was on the ball room circuit before Dance), who seems to be bringing baggage and who seems to be polarizing viewers before the show even starts. I'm wondering who the biggest stunt cast was this season. Personally, I hope Lacey's a one time thing and that she doesn't replace a current pro or a former who'd like to come back.

I could have gone a whole day without hearing that news! IMO celebrities' political preferences are of no consequence and I grow increasingly weary listening to them. Why they have the power to influence people, or think they can, is a mystery. As far as I am concerned, they should shut up and dance, sing, or act (whichever the case may be).
