I understand that Broadway actors need big personalities, but she needs to understand that many find high strung people difficult to be around. All of the F3 are excited to be there and happy to have come so far, but none of them act like a 13 year old in the pit of American Idol. If she were MUCH younger than she is I might cut her a break, but as a grown woman it grates too much to bear.[/b]

However, I see why you and a few others like her and she's lucky there are far more tolerant viewer than me around.
I loved Marissa in Hairspray, but the personality just grated on me after awhile. I also didn't like being told by her that she is not a size 2, over and over again. I got it the first time.

Plain and simple, her dancing wasn't good enough to keep her around.

Marissa is scheduled to be on LIVE With Regis and Kelly this morning. I can't wait to see her and Tony dance together again.

Marissa's a phoney attention-hog. I'm so glad she's off the show. Her dancing was not even mediocre.

They three left are the three that should be there. Personally, I am also glad that she's gone. Now I don't have to fast forward thru her sections.

She did seem to love the attention, but I didn't find any harm in it.. she seemed like she genuinely enjoyed being on the show.

She definitely enjoyed being on the show, any show. ("Vote for me so I can be on the cover of TV Guide", etc.) Absolutely, positively. That's why she was frantically voting for herself (by her own admission). With Marissa, it's all about Marissa.

The harm was that she stayed for nine weeks while more deserving people and better dancers were eliminated.

Marissa came to fame in one of the few vehicles in musical comedy in which a CHUBBY, yes chubby, not only is she not a size two, she's not a twelve, etc., could be the star. She has chosen to go on a show in which she would be judged on her DANCING ability which is apparently hindered by her size, at least in part. She proceded to encourage illegal voting and act like the fact that she didn't dance as well as others should be ignored because she was NOT a size two and she's perky. Well, I saw this as a definite "larger sized women unite plea" and that's fine, but she can't have it both ways.
She seemed like a perfectly nice person, but frankly I thought that Mario deserved to stay FAR more than she did. I am thrilled for her that she will be able to experience the blessing of motherhood and I hope that she gets future jobs based on DWTS. I don't dislike her in the least, but it was a fact, acknowledged by Marissa herself that she couldn't do the moves that others could do.
I am very happy with the final three and while it's obvious to me that Kristi is the best dancer would not object to any of the three winning. It's a popularity show in part after all.

Lucy has been in the aidience every week. She (Lucy) even said in an interview that she cut a trip short so she could get back to Marissa @ DWTS.

Marissa has a considerable number of celebrity friends, in addition to Lucy. Caroline Rhea, Lisa Rinna, Harry Hamlin, Camryn Mannheim, etc.

Take a look at her wedding pictures. The cake is . . . interesting.

I think Marissa is genuine, but just loud. She does have a lot of friends in Hollywood.

I consider a deserving person as someone who beats the odds and improves greatly from the beginning. While she didn't dance at the caliber of some of the others, she did the best she could with what she has. She certainly did a lot better than what I could do. I am 4'10" myself at 189 lbs and there's no way I could do anything like that. My knees are too messed up from carrying so much extra weight for so long. I enjoyed seeing someone with my body type on the show at all and for her to do so well was very impressive to me. What I don't think is fair is Christy staying in the competition so long. She is already a professional dancer and had an unfair advantage. I don't watch this show to watch professional dancers NOT improve and dance at the exact same caliber on the finale they they unfairly won that they did on the first episode. The only difference I saw was adding facial expressions that made her look stupid and didn't see any acting or emoting out of it. I watch this show to watch people defy the odds and do something that they have been told they can't do like Marissa and Jason and Cristian and Marlee and Priscilla, and then improve upon it week by week. I enjoyed every celebrity this season except for Christy. I don't think I'll be able to enjoy watching her skate anymore after this because now I know how dry and condescending her personality is.
