Her chunky little body dancing with the tall, lithe Tony just looks odd. They should have matched her with one of the shorter pros. I was sorry to see Mario go instead of this person. I was starting to really enjoy his cute personality and dancing.
I agree. Think she would have done better with a shorter pro. When Tony is trying to lift and swing her around it looks like he is swinging a sack of potatoes. Not a pretty sight doesn't make poor Tony look good either. Marissa is not a good dancer doesn't even come close, even Tony can't make her look good, Tony is so pleasant about the whole thing his upbeat pleasant attitude has had a lot to do with her still being in the running. Agree she should have gone instead of Mario. I think the biggest reason Mario was voted out is because of his partner. She comes across as being mad all the time not enjoying any part of it.

Sadly, I think Marissa danced her last dances...I believe she will go home tonight.

As far as this pain Marissa, the only way to get her off the screen and stop them from giving her the trophy is to fight fire with fire – power block voting for another contestant, because those idiot Xena fans are voting several hundred times each for Marissa, and Marissa is voting for herself because she is “having a blast”. I can’t stand her.

She was a roller-coaster ride for me. Down, then up, and now I'm ready for her to leave.

I'm very disappointed to hear about Lucy Lawless' involvement in keeping Marissa well past her time. I'm a Xena fan, but it would never occur to me to be part of a fan club or visit a fan sight for her so I never saw the shameless plugs for Marissa. I never saw Lucy in the audience of DWTS either. Well it's just a friend helping another friend no matter how undeserving, I guess.

I agree with you, dberk. I've been a fan of Lucy Lawless as an actress, too.
This doesn't make me think well of her.

I remember a bit of when she was on the Celebrity Duets show and she kind of did the same thing for herself. She wasn't a bad singer, but she did stay a little longer than I thought she should have.

Wow - some pretty harsh postings here. PLEASE don't rip my head off too badly, but I LIKE Marissa. Yes, it was time for her to go, but I liked her.

Ok, she's bold and brassy - she's a BROADWAY star!

Marissa ADMITS that she's chunky - well, two thirds of America is with her there. I don't think it's entirely fair to accuse her of admitting to her size as a publicity gimmick and then turn around and blast her because she "looks like a sack of potatoes" when doing some dance moves. It takes guts to keep going out there and competing with those size 2's.

I don't find her personality annoying. This woman BEAT cervical cancer and is happy to be alive - heck, I'D be perky TOO! Plus, she's getting ready to have a child (via surrogate) and she's enjoying herself enormously. Talk about attitude? Marissa was THRILLED with 8's! THAT'S a GREAT attitude in my book. She's not the best dancer, but she's trying her damnedest. And, I saw a LOT of times where she was complementing the other contestants.

If the worst that you can say of someone is that they have a positive attitude and are enjoying a once in a lifetime experience to the hilt, then Marissa is quite a woman in my book.

Sigh, I agree. She was indeed back and forth in her performances.

We LOVE to disagree at FORT! Where have you been?

Part of putting yourself out there on national TV is accepting that you will be judged for your looks, actions and words. If you run on the Chubby Ticket, endorse excess/illegal voting and say you deserve to win, when you aren't qualified for the job, you will be trashed by many.

I understand that Broadway actors need big personalities, but she needs to understand that many find high strung people difficult to be around. All of the F3 are excited to be there and happy to have come so far, but none of them act like a 13 year old in the pit of American Idol. If she were MUCH younger than she is I might cut her a break, but as a grown woman it grates too much to bear.

However, I see why you and a few others like her and she's lucky there are far more tolerant viewer than me around.
