I don't have anything against Gavin, but I wouldn't have minded losing him last night. I thought it was interesting they revealed the real bottom 2 over a fake one-maybe they're hoping it'll buy him a few weeks if fans thought he was in danger? He doesn't really do anything for me. I thought his jive was one of the worst dances of the night (actually, only second to Martina's), something about him seems like a nervous tick, and aside from that, I think he's forgettable. Nice, but forgettable. I don't expect him to last much longer. I think I read he has the rumba this coming week, which may be an easier dancer. Karina can basically dance around him if all else fails. I don't think latin dances will be very good to him, however.

There was some speculation that Gavin's personal story might be his being attacked last year in NYC, and that it would stand out enough to garner votes... Personally, I think that's a little too intrusive, but I guess you need to pull out all the stops...

Anyway, I just read that he's doing the old pursuing-your-dreams story. I assume that unless the dancing is unbelievable, tonight is his last night. Too bad.

I thought he did better this week. Hoping he can stick around a little longer to see his progression. You can tell he has such admiration for his family for them standing behind him no matter what

I really enjoyed his performance last night. I believed his tears at the end too, when he got all choked up. Looks like he has a really close relationship with his dad. He definitely danced better this week. I hope he stays (I voted for him anyway lol) and that he gets the chance to continue to do better.

I actually think Brooke handled that interview very well. In the past she would have been a deer in the headlights if the contestant got choked up like that. She has really improved this season.

I agree. Supportive parents and rock 'n' roll don't often go together, so I appreciated his story. Hopefully he'll get the votes he needs this week.

I wonder if we will see Gavin dance without his hat? he has hair, we saw it in practice. I voted for him

I say lose the hat. It's distracting. It takes away from his dancing.
