I think Tony is the perfect partner for Martina and I enjoyed their dance.
Not so good on that Fox Trott. She may relax and get better but it was very stiff and mechanical.
I absolutely loved that Martina took this show on full-on. She admitted early on that she's not used to wearing dresses or heals, but rather than complaining and saying that it wasn't her, she accepted that it's part of dancing and embraced it. I really liked her attitude. Yes, she's not the best dancer among a really strong group, but she's delightful. I hope she sticks around for a while.
I wouldn't mind seeing Martina stick around, but I'm not confident she will. I love Tony and would love to see him have a really good, long season. It seems like it never works out for him. I felt like their foxtrot was one of the weaker dances, but I hate saying it was bad, because it really wasn't. Only problem is, everyone this season is already so good. She has the jive next week, so hopefully it's a good dance for her. I really hate to see anyone be the first to go; if it's not Martina, I'll miss whoever it is. I do think we could have a very surprising first elimination. I agreed with the judges that it was a careful routine, but still lovely nonetheless.
Martina is looking terrific on this show. I hope she improves as I'd really like to see her stick around a little longer. Was great to see Chris Everett in the audience lending her support.
Just read that Martina is AARP spokesperson for health and fitness and that part of the reason she's doing the show is to encourage people to try new ways of exercising and staying fit.
That makes me even better--that she's willing to do things that scare her and that she might not be good at to encourage people to do the same in search of a fitness plan that works for them.
