It wasn't very tight (Derek stumbled a little on the last pose), but I felt entertained by it, as if humans were doing something fun and exciting. Mya's dance was technically superior but wasn't thrilling to watch. She seems like someone who should be dancing in the chorus, not up front. (Not knocking chorus dancers--I've been one--I just don't see star quality there, that's all)

As predicted, once more the judges have left the "Mya room" on top.

    Of course they did.

Is DWTS considered a prestigious gig for a dancer?

Derek just seems so above it. He dances with every cell in his body. His talent seems so wasted on this show. Although, he is a great teacher and choreographer also.

I think if I were a dancer I would want to be doing serious dancing somewhere else. Broadway? IDK
Prestigious, shmigous. It's a HUGE paycheck, and dancers don't get many of those.

And even moreso, HUGE fame--something they don't get anywhere else these days. Dancers probably would murder to get a DWTS spot.

Mya's technically the best dancer. But there've been other technically good dancers that haven't gotten as much praise from the judges. She only brings her dancing ability, and doesn't seem to change. If her and Dmitry care more about pleasing the audience, I think they're falling flat there, too.

Perhaps my ancient eyes also missed what you think you saw, but I'll bet you lunch based on my 40 years on the dance floor that there wasn't a misstep.

They get paid some decent money for this show... much more than on a Broadway show. And he definitely gets much more exposure here, for himself AND his band.

just going by a total non dancer and definitely not a judge of any kind, but Joanna looked like she was not sure footed and about to fall at the very end of the dance to me

Kelly couldn't get a 10 with these judges if she died on stage.

Samantha gets straight 4s for that interview.

Ah, speaking of the guaranteed 10s, here comes Mya.

Kelly DID do well enough that the judges couldn't justify outscoring Donny over her though... so well done. He'll win the public vote two to one though, I bet. Mormon power voting will prevail.

She was about to fall at the end because of Derek. But I could swear there were many steps in the middle of that, too, where she was a little unstable/shifty.
