Oh, I see. I have heard of the Threepenny Opera but never "heard" it. It wouldn't have helped sell that rendition to me at all though.

That was the Tango from Moulin Rouge, the guy is a rasby voice, but at least it stayed on key in the movie.

Like Samantha (who also gets worse every season, but keeps her job), they have some kind of deal with the devil apparently.

Well--I'm seriously underwhelmed this season so far. I don't recall past seasons starting this badly, not even the first one.

I believe Baz lifted a whole boatload of his style from The Threepenny Opera.

Roxanne wasn't actually in Threepenny, obviously, but Sting was associated with a revival, so that's how I think Baz connected the dots to get to a Threepennish version of Roxanne in his movie.

That too. I still think Tom, Len, Bruno, and maybe some third class band that didn't quite make the finals on America's Got Talent could do a better job. I know it's probably been asked before, but why do they need a band? Why can't they just play from the actual track? Isn't that what they do on SYTYCD?

At least other DWTS bands in international versions sound bad. Maybe not this bad, but not great. I guess it depends on the song.
