Looks like another season for pre-premiere injuries...
    'Dancing' contestant Tom DeLay injured

    by Kate Ward

Future Dancing With the Stars contestant Tom DeLay has injured his foot, according to his Twitter account. The former House Majority Leader posted this message today: “Old age is catching up to me, may have a stress fracture in my foot. no worries, it’ll take more than that to keep me off the dance floor!” A rep for the show confirms the politician has a foot injury, and that doctors will have the final say on whether or not the politician can indeed return to the dance floor in time for season 9’s Sept. 21 premiere. “What he says on his Tweet about wanting to continue is very much the case,” the rep says. “We’ve had folks with this sort of injury before be able to go forward.”

And here comes the injuries already, hopefully no one will get knocked out before the show started like last season with Jewel and Nancy O'Dell.

I hope everyone makes it to the premiere, and no one is taken out or misses a performance and has to go the rehearsal tapes due to injuries. Didn't the Woz have a stress fracture in his foot? I think it was either Maks or Cheryl who mentioned no one is really paying attention to the rule of only a few hours of rehearsal a day. They're taking breaks but practicing longer than they were supposed to.

Is it true that while practicing DeLay was asked to move an inch to the left and injured himself trying? Apparently he never tried to before.

    Now, that's funny!

There's an ad for DWTS with him in it about that very thing!

You must have a crystal ball.

BTW--the ad makes it look like he has a good sense of humor and does not seem to be taking himself too seriously.

That commercial disgusted me to no end. There is NO way I am going to watch this season of DWTS. They lost me when they got that nasty bugman

    Tapper--Hi.

I agree it is certainly startling. I still don't know how I feel about his being on the show. I really like DWTS and I don't want one nasty contestant's appearance to drive me away from a show I enjoy so much.

I guess--for me anyway--that's what the "mute" button is for.

Was Tom flirting with Bruno last night during the judge's comments?

I wish we still had the threads with both contestant and pro name in the title.

And I haven't seen any individual pro threads either.

But anyway, I only saw Cheryl in the intro (coming down the stairs), and I thought she looked great and much thinner than last season. I enjoy her dancing and choreography but I really don't want to watch Tom try to dance.
