While I understood the reluctance, it made Chuck look REALLY lame and frankly the routine was just so-so. I think Julianne is really having a problem forcing her b.f. to step up to the plate. I think the judges are trying to make that happen because they see that glimmer. Lame routine, pale shadow of the other routines. imo, the only thing keeping them in the competition for long would be Julianne and the fact that Chuck is her real-life b.f., otherwise he'd be toast.

I think one problem with Chuck is that he has a limited ceiling. After the first week I thought there might be potential with him, but having seen several more of his dances now, I'm of the opinion that he has a limit as to how much better he can do. Even if you gave Chuck an extra month's practice and he worked his butt off, I still don't think he'd come close to being as good as Gilles is now.

I could be wrong and I certainly do hope that Chuck can improve exponentially quickly like Ty has seem to have done, but I'm not holding my breath on that. So thanks for NOTHING Chuck for getting Julianne booted early again.

TVDude I love your avvie I saw an interview with these two earlier and Julianne said sorry Chuck, but she misses Apolo and he was her best partner. I miss them, too I think Julianne may be able to do okay with her own fanbase, but her boyfriend isn't doing her any favors.

Julianne said Apolo was her best partner in an interview? Really? I'd like to see that!

Also why is Chuck dissing the judges saying their marks don't matter? And did Chuck really get a standing ovation? I thought I saw only a few people stand up after their dance, and certainly he didn't get anything on the level that Gilles got after his performance.

Man Julianne can't dump this dude soon enough!

'Dancing' star Hough on stardom, love and her Achilles heel | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Entertainment

SNOQUALMIE, Wash. -- These days, Julianne Hough is busy as can be.

She splits her time between dazzling the dance floor on the hit ABC show "Dancing with the Stars" and touring the country as a country music singer. Oh, and then there is her boyfriend and "Stars" dancing partner, Chuck Wicks.

Hough said love comes easily between the two of them, but not dancing.

"I think they might expect him to be able to dance and know how to do it. I'm like, 'He grew up on a potato farm. Trust me. He does not know how to dance,'" she said.

But Hough has already proven she can teach. She and her first dancing partner, Apolo Ohno, won the disco ball.

"I love Apolo! I miss him so much," Hough said. "Honestly, you know, no offense to Chuck, but he was my favorite partner, I think, because he was my first partner."

Ohno isn't Hough's only tie to the Pacific Northwest. During her recent tour stop at Snoqualmie Casino, her family from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, was among the audience.

"They were giving us tens downstairs when we were practicing. We'll trade them for the real judges any day," Hough said of her family members.

Hough gets perfect 10s on the dance floor and hits perfect pitch on stage. But she admits there's nothing perfect about her in the kitchen.

"I burn everything. I forget," she said. "I kind of have ADD, like I can't like sit there and watch the stove. I run and I start cleaning up around the house and then I'm like, 'Oh, shoot! The food and the water is boiling over!' And I'm like, 'Oh, no! I'm horrible."'

And for fans of her dancing, Hough says to enjoy her moves while they last. She plans to concentrate on singing in the future.

"The plan right now is to take the next season off, but we'll see," she said.

Hough said she and her beau will be dancing the lindy hop on Monday's episode of the "Dancing with the Stars."
    Here you go TV Dude!

I'd have to go back and watch but I don't recall them getting a standing ovation. If they did, I doubt it was for him. Julianne can carry this show by herself. Perhaps he doesn't like being known as Mr. Julianne. No one seemed to have heard of him until it became public they were dating.

I think she will be having a talk with him about it not being wise to disrespect the judges as their scores count. lol I still think they will be around for a while because she has a big fan base and the show likes the Houghs.

I think they'll have a good PD. She's done so really good ones in the past and if he does a decent job I think they'll score fairly high. CA seems to be chomping at the bit to given them a big score and this might be the week she gets to do it. Add in show liking Houghs and I think they will want him to make it past the others that are currently mid-level.

Chuck has the V.Waltz this week. I watched a paparazzi video earlier in the week and Julianne said they have the V.Waltz.

Interesting. The other thread has them as PD. If true I don't know why they flipped Kim to that side instead of justing flipping one from Mel's side over their way. That would make more sense if 4 are doing PD and 5 doing VW. It would have kept the original groupings more intact. I would have thought show would want 5 doing PD and 4 doing VW.

I think Chuck might have done better with the PD. His waltz didn't impress the judges and got a point taken off for an illegal lift, and I don't remember anything about their foxtrot so if it impressed the judges it didn't impress me. I don't think this guy has been overly impressive so far and while I think the potential's there, for some reason, he's not letting it show. I don't think all the talking in the world from Julianne will help.
