I liked the group routine it was good except that Edyta looked ridiculous in that low rise poodle skirt. Definitely not true to the era. Word to Edyta, it's ok to wear clothes.

Loved the rumba. It is supposed to be fluid, sensual, tell a story. IT did all that and their moves were right on.

Love group dance. Lifts looked impressive. Jane cute in wig. Sabrina did not look good in the group number outfit. OOH. With so much going on it was difficult to watch but did notice Marie lose her place and end up by Maks instead of Jonathan. oops. I would go for Maks too.

    a bad night for me

Well I totally feel like I wasted my time watching this tonight. The music was absolutely horrible and I could not get into any of the dances. Its not like watching Apollo last season where had so much energy and drive. I am just not feeling it and I wish they would get better music.. it was awful..... so sad....
    Because I said so ....

Maybe I'm not as savvy musically as everyone else, but I don't think things were as bad musically as a lot of people here have felt they were. Speed (or lack thereof) of song or appropriateness for dance aside, I think they've done a good job... unless my asides ARE what we're complaining about? As for the dances/dancers... Jane should probably go tomorrow, I'm sad to say. Overall some dances lacked and some were really good... not sure Max & Mel shoulda been a 30, but whatever.

I loved the group dance and agree with Tobi: Edyta! IT'S OK TO COVER YOUR BODY!! She's so tan/dark that my hubby thought they were digitally screening her belly! (OK maybe our tv isn't the best, but .... )

And I'm a fan of Mr. Botox Barry Manilow! I love the Hilton Las Vegas for 2 reasons: Star Trek: The Experience and BARRY!!

The dances tonight were all kinda underwelming to me. Mel getting a 30???

I liked Jennie's dance although it seemed like she looked nervous through most of it. But she looked hella sexy with the hat on. Derek on the other hand needs to stop wearing them. Seriously. He doesn't look that good in hats and with such a great head of hair why would you ever want to cover that up??

The only other dance I really enjoyed was Helio/Julianne. It was fun and entertaining and I like seeing Julianne on the dance floor. I always look forward to her dancing.

As for the music, I agree some of the selections are pretty crappy, but sometimes they get it right too. Like for the two previous weeks for Helio, I actually enjoyed those dances more than his dance tonight. The music for Helio/Julianne tonight to me was mehhh. I just didn't like it. On the otherhand for the waltz and rumba I really thought the music worked well for their dances. With Iris for the waltz and Apoligize for rumba, that drew me into their dances more than it did tonight although I still enjoyed their performance.

I've only been watching DWTS all the way through since last season and my alll time favorite is still the Push It cha cha. The music and the dance was just perfect for me and I find myself going back to it every so often still. Such amazing chemistry and soo hot and spicy. Raunchy my a**

What's with Jullianne emphasizing Helio is an athlete? Hello, he drives a race car. His one and only sports related injury is hemmroids. Who knew if you can drive a car without cracking it up that your an "athete"!! That was ridiculous, I was embarrassed for her as soon as it left her mouth.

Um, being a professional race car driver does indeed qualify one as an athlete, and requires a lot of physical skill, training, and endurance. As for sports related injuries, you've apparently missed the film they've showed during DWtS of the car crash he had that resulted in an injury, as well as his other racing related injuries. Yes, Helio is an athlete, and the reason Julianne was pointing it out was jokingly comparing him to the other celebs who were professional performers or entertainers. There was nothing ridiculous about her statement.

Oh, me too! I was there many years ago on the first day they opened it, and have revisited it many times since, both before and after they added the Borg experience to it. And I love eating at Quark's! And Space Quest Casino is one of the few that I actually have good luck at.

I defintinely disagree and it did sound ridiculous coming from a person whose partner last season was an olympic athlete. I suppose the arguement could be made that a chessplayer is an athlete-It takes skill, training, endurance as wel....and sounds just as silly

Well, you're definately free to disagree with anything at all, but professional race car drivers are indeed recognized as athletes in every venue that recognizes professional athletes, so Julianne made a good point.
