I agree. I wish the studio had bouncers - the audience's boos drown out any attempt the judges make at helpful criticisms. Len and Bruno seem to have given up even trying. Even Carrie doesn't seem to go full tilt and say everything she wants. The audience's boos do not help the contestants, who need to hear what the judges think they are lacking. After all the judges' scores count for half their final score.

If someone would curb all that booing, the contestants might actually be able to learn something, rather than just be patted on the head.

I'd like to see them change the format of the show to get rid of the popular vote. They could add some more judges to the panel to get a more well-rounded vote.

Sara Evans should have gone, she was the worst this week and hasn't improved that much. Last week she was not too good too. She was interviewed on ABC channel 7 (in California) last week and said she was upset because she had gotten such low scores from the judges! Sara actually thinks she's very good........HELLO!!
Is anyone home here (talking about Sara).
I agree about Willa. After she survived the first 2 weeks in the bottom 2, I had hoped she was safe to make it to the final 3. I think Maks is a better dancer than choreographer and an even better TV boyfriend, but it's very aggravating to see them go.

I like country music almost as much as rock 'n roll, but only consider Sara to be an OK singer and I don't like to watch her perform. I recently saw her in a Jeff Foxworthy skit and I was impressed with how funny she was as "the straight guy". I'm not surprised that she is deluded about her dancing ability. The judges, her partner and her fans are sending out mixed signals. The judges continue to put her in the bottom 2, but praise her stomping about. Her partner wants her to win this and doesn't care if she has to do it with fan votes rather than talent. Wasn't she in the bottom 2 during one of the first shows? She made a point of notifying her fans that she was on this show and needed their (blind) support.

If she actually wins the hideous trophy, I expect her to get a lot of crap about it. In the past two seasons the best dancers won in the end. If her feelings were hurt by the judges honest assessment, she will be crushed when the press gets hold of her and accuse her of fraud.

WoW! I can not believe Sara trumped Willa. I missed the first half and so I have to read the recap. But, I really don't need to see this weeks show to know that Sara more than likely was the weakest link.

I still don't know who she is a celebrity. I never heard of her and I never seen her before the show. I'm not country music fanatic...but I know she is no Shania Twain. Hell, I know the AI winner but not Sara. I don't even know her last name.

I didn't know Monique either. I saw that High School video mentioned here....perhaps I will rent it.

    1st + 7th = 7th ???

This is one show that could never publish the voting results. To say the vote is 50/50 between the judges and home voters and then have someone go from first to last after the home vote, stretches any sense of credibility this show maight have had.

Sara Evans Quits Dancing with the Stars
    THURSDAY OCTOBER 12, 2006 10:00PM EST

    THURSDAY OCTOBER 12, 2006 11:35PM EST UPDATED

    By Monica Rizzo

Country star Sara Evans has decided to pull out of the Dancing with the Stars competition due to personal reasons, an ABC spokesperson confirms to PEOPLE. In a statement released by her personal rep, it was revealed that Evans had filed for divorce from husband Craig Schelske on Thursday.

Evans, 35, who's the mother of three young children (ranging in age from 2 to 7), made the decision to leave the show "to give her family her full attention at this difficult time," it said in the statement. "Ms. Evans hopes her fans and TV viewers ... will respect and understand her need for privacy in the face of these recent events."

The singer, who was partnered with professional dancer Tony Dovolani, will make her final appearance on the show on October 17. "This has really taken me by surprise," Dovolani told PEOPLE about her departure.

This would probably be the case, if she were NOT going to be on the next show, but they will either make her the next loser or tell the truth and let her leave never being an official loser.

From what I've heard Sara is a good person, but this doesn't reflect well on her as a professional entertainer. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to see her gone from this show, but I doubt she would have been so quick to cancel a concert for the same reason. She doesn't need this show and her dancing can only be a negative on her resume, but she made a commitment and outlasted better dancers that wanted to stay.

I don't want to make light of her pending divorce, because it is essentially the death of a marriage, but could it be her first sight of the "trophy" that prompted her to leave so quickly.

That has nothing to do with it. Read the Sara thread and you'll find the reason.

Evans Quits 'Dancing,' Files for Divorce
'Born to Fly' Singer Cites Adultery, Porn for Split
    AP
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 13) - Country singer Sara Evans alleges in divorce papers that her husband committed adultery, was verbally and emotionally abusive, drank excessively and frequently watched pornography in their home.
Evans, 35, filed for divorce Thursday from Craig Schelske and announced through a spokesman that she was quitting ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" to "to give her family full attention at this difficult time."

The couple married in 1993 and have three children ages 7, 3 and 2.

Schelske, 43, who is currently unemployed, ran for Congress as a Republican from Oregon's 5th District in 2002. He is a native of Salem, Ore.

He could not immediately be reached for comment.

In the filing in state court in Franklin, a Nashville suburb where the couple has a home, Evans alleges that Schelske watched pornography on the couples' computers and has at least 100 nude photographs of himself in a state of arousal.
She also alleges that several photographs show Schelske having sex with other women, and that Schelske maintains "Craigs Lists" on his computers, some of which involve requests for three-party sex and anal sex.

According to the court documents, the oldest of the couple's children confronted Schelske when he was watching pornographic material on the television in their home.

Evans further alleges that Schelske frequently threatened her and "told her that she is crazy," threatened to take the children to Oregon and "continually interferes with (Evans') possession of and parenting time" with their children.

Evans requests child custody, possession of Franklin home and child support.

Evans was among 11 celebrities who paired with professional dancers to compete on the third season of the popular ABC reality series.

"Ms. Evans hopes that her fans and TV viewers who've supported her in recent weeks and throughout her music career will respect and understand her need for privacy in the face of these recent events," Allen Brown, her representative at Sony BMG Music Entertainment, said in a statement Thursday.
