Mario royally screwed up this week. That was no quick step. Emmitt is still my favorite, although Joey really was great this week. I'm guessing that Sara and Jerry will be on the chopping block tonight.
I can never guess what the scores will be because even when one of the judge's completely lays into a competitor, the score sure doesn't reflect that assessment.

I only watched the first episode of season 1 and was so bored that I didn't catch that season at all, although at the very end I did peek in to catch Master P, cause people were talking so much about him. Yeap, another sterling example of an AA rapper who thinks he doesn't have to work. Still, I thought I would give this season a try. I accidently taped 2 hours of QVC last week instead of the DWTS but I managed to tape last night's show. One assumes the woman would be better than the men but as far as I could see the men were much better dancers than the woman. The most entertaining to me were Mario Lopez and Joey Lawrence. I also liked Jerry Springer and Emmett Smith. Who knew ES could move much better than Jerry Rice. Even Harry Hamlin was entertaining. I was not really impressed with the women. They all seem very stiff and I'm glad the judges saw hip action cause I didn't. Willa Ford and Shanna those hips didn't move, (Shanna's dress had all the action, good choice by the stylist). Monique and Vivica had lousy hip and leg action, Sarah was very hesitant and does need to throw herself into the movement.

I do wish that the producers of DWTS would post the name of the song and original artist at the bottom of the screen like they did with "So You Think You Can Dance".

Last night left me flat. I did like Mario, although I will admit that was no quick step. He entertained me, though. Wow. Joey looks different bald. I kinda dig it. Hated that green outfit, though.

I think Mario will bounce back and easily win this whole thing. That's my prediction and I'm sticking to it.

I loved Monique and Joey. I thought they were fantastic. Mario was good last night, Willa too. The others were just ok.

I think Jerry needs to go, then Shanna and Sara. No particular order, but they are the bottom 3.

I did, too. I voted online 3 times for Joe, 3 for Monique, 2 for Harry, 1 for Emmitt and 1 for Sara.

Ted Danson has a show coming on following dances with stars, which is why he was there. Not a has-been, just a shameless plug, ala FOX.

Dance training aside, I'm not convinced he is going to run away with the competition. He's okay, but not as entertaining to me as some of the others.

I like Mario a lot on this show, and I do think he stands apart from the others. He's not the only one with dance training, either, so I'm not sure why that would be a factor. One thing that is confusing to me is how responsible the 'stars' are for the routines. I can see in some cases (notably Drew last season, as his wife is a choreographer) where the star may be heavily involved, but I have always assumed it's up to the professional dancer to be sure that the overall presentation fits the requirements.

Shanna and Sara both suffered from middle-class white girl syndrome. Neither seems to the wild side called for by the mambo. Shanna's porn star expressions were probably just what she thinks makes something sexy. Sara was just way too slow. Her knees weren't soft enough to give her any hip action. Neither was helped by the "band"

I hope Willa gets saved this week. She's good enough to stay around.
