They rarely actually leak the confessions -- they merely use them to threaten and blackmail the person into silence. They also separate ex-members from their families, and have them followed. They don't want their methods known. (It's a little late for that at this point, but it doesn't stop them from trying to plug new leaks)

Well, I thought she did GREAT! Breaking away from a religion (?) is a huge life change, and I think Leah is handling it with grace and chutzpah.

Like RB, I've gotta give Leah credit for having chutzpah.

I don't wonder that she's nervous. The bird's out of the nest, now (so to speak), and is dipping, dropping and learning how to fly on its own. So of COURSE it's feeling weirded and wigged out.

She's doing fine, to me, so far. Do I expect her to win? Nope. But she's doing OK, and that's good to see.

What's NOT good to see, thus far, are the costume choices for her.

I don't know if it's the show costumers, her, or Tony who's making the final decisions about what she's been wearing, the past two weeks. But WHOEVER'S had the final say on her outfits SERIOUSLY needs to lighten up on all the fabric they've seemed to've buried her in, so far.

If it's Leah making the final call, perhaps she's trying to stay covered up as much as possible because she's a wife and mother --- and ALSO trying to steer clear of being painted as the Whore of Babylon by her former church, since they're apparently out to "get" her, anyway (for actually having the backbone to "Just Say NO!" to them after, what?, 30 or something years of being one of their sheep?).

    Whatever.

She doesn't have to be turned out like a porno-star-in-training.

But being buried under all that fabric in those not-so-great designs does her no favors, either.

    JMHO.

I would guess that Leah is asking to be covered up more, but not because of the church. She said the first week that she's gained weight and wants to loose it. She's made a few other references to her size. I think she's very self conscious of her weight and doesn't feel comfortable in revealing costumes right now.

I think so as well Kirstie Alley never bothered about what she wore. Leah's costumes are just way older looking than they should be, You can look covered and tasteful

ness- It didn't seem to bother her on KOQ. As for the reference, that sounds like another church entirely

I can see her having a hard time letting go of the scientology. She has been with them for 30 years and it is hard to break away and not feel paranoid. I hope she sticks around a little longer so others that don't really know her can see the true her. She is fiesty and needs to start bringing it out. Glad Tony is her partner and I think he can help her relax and just have a good time.

Leah and Tony have Rumba next. She'll need to focus and control her movement, it's not an easy dance.

Rumba is my least favorite dance on this show. Between the character roles and the costuming, it can be a punishment for a female celebrity to endure, especially older women or women who aren't a size 0.

She is not herself on this show and probably due to her leaving that cult. She is fabulous on interview shows. She is a guest that most hosts like because she brings a lot to the table and they don't have to work at pulling things out of her. She is fiesty and very witty. It is scary/sad to see how paranoid and cowed she is.

She was feisty and witty week one. They also all went out to a club after the show week 2., I think they mentioned scientology because of ratings, that's why she is on.
