Same here, I wondered why it was all such a big deal, & now she is on DWTS .

Re: Leah Remini & Tony Dovolani - Season 17

People think it's a big deal that she renounced Scientology because there is a belief that they "gather dirt" on famous members in order to keep them in line. There have been a couple of people who left the church, had bad press shortly after that, and some believe the church released the bad press. So to some, it was considered to be a big career risk to not just leave the church, but ruffle feathers on the way out, almost daring them to release dirt on her.

I don't know who she is, I didn't watch the show she was in, and I don't know what else she has done. I guess leavening scientology was a big deal( for her) I couldn't care less LOL

Actually, I didn't have much of an opinion on her, but if she had the guts to go against the scientology bullies, then I am on her side! She has nerve! Good for her, I hope she does well.

Leah is feisty. I'm betting the best clips we see of her are taken from the practice room.

I loved her on King of Queens. She is fiesty. She seems like she is really into learning and Tony is the guy to get the job/technique into her

Her costume was terrible! They dressed her like she was 73! Valerie had a better dress.

I could tell that she is a little heavy around her middle but that will go away if she sticks around long enough. She was pretty good and will get better.

Maybe they were trying to work with that, but the effort just overall fell flat?
