I agree. Her dancing wasn't bad, better than I thought it would be, but I have to mute my sound when she's talking. I also thought she was overscored, probably at the request of ABC. I thought sevens would have been accurate, especially when compared with some of the others.

Val looked afraid for his life, his ears, and his tush in the rehearsals. I can always mute Sherri, but Val's worth it She did much better than I expected; I figured she'd be good, but not that good. However, we'll see with the jive. From clips I saw on Access Hollywood, she wasn't bad at all. Hopefully she doesn't have a wardrobe malfunction. As some others commented on in the episode thread, this season is already so much fun because the contestants are so much fun. Their enjoyment is contagious. I'm happy Val has a chance to (hopefully) go far this season. It'll be interesting how Sherri tones it down for the more sexier and serious dances.

I don't think ABC requests special scoring for people on their network! I know some of these shows are manipulated but I dont see that here. I see judges favoring some over others but they are not told to do this. MO

Her high scores was becasuer they appreciated her enthusiam. And she wasn't bad at all.

Sherri's screaming and her "left one of my boobs on the dance floor" comment are previews of coming attractions. It's gonna take harsh comments from Len to settle her down a bit - but if any of the judges make her eyes well up she'll get pity votes. So,

She's pretty funny. And yet at the same time, I became weary of her humor because it was too much "Look at me, I'm funny so I'll get attention."

One of the judges said she was light on her feet. I was surprised because that didn't enter MY mind while she was dancing. Maybe I missed it. I'm no expert.

I wasn't thrilled about the boob comment. What if one of the guys said he'd left one of his bal_s out on the dance floor? I thought she was getting too crude at that point, in her quest to be a comedian. How about just trying to dance?

Sherri's just....Sherri. She can be a little much, at times. However, I believe she's very happy to be on DWTS this season because she's been a fan for years and loves the show. She should calm down as the weeks roll on....hopefully.

I watched the re-run tonight and I changed my mind, I DO actually think she was light on her feet. I think I was distracted the first time by the rest of her. I still didn't think she was as graceful as the judges did, but I guess I don't know how to see it with her build. She has hardly any neck at all, so even when she holds her head out high, it doesn't have the same elegant effect as when, say, Katherine does it. There were some times where I thought her frame was a little sloppy, but that can be said for many of the contestants. It's week 1.

Back in 2000 she was on a short lived Emeril Lagasse tv show titled 'Emeril'. It was the first time I saw Sherri. I didn't care for her then and I don't care much for her now. I thought her footwork was sloppy, and her facial expressions over-the-top. They were comical in an eww kind of way, not a ha ha kind of way.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

I agree about her facial expressions. I found her hard to watch for that reason, and it was hard to notice anything else that was going on with her actual dancing.

I have a little soft spot for her because Barbara Walters doesn't like her. And I have come to see her close friendship with Elizabeth (don't like her politics) is nifty. Two very different people who bonded, big time.

Her costuming was unfortunate. She had too much fabric around her upper body. I would like to see her stick around and lose weight; she wants to and is excited about that perk. And she can dance. I think she was underscored. It is hard to see how well heavy people dance becasuse their weight seems to overshadow the ability.
