I'm sorry - no matter how "entertaining", I could never vote for or root for anyone who does The Worm in an attempt to draw attention to himself in the Viennese Waltz.

His pouty attitude sucked last night after their critique. He had a big sour puss on his face the rest of the night and barely (fake) clapped for any of the other couples.
This post is so funny, thanks for the laugh! I also wondered what was up with Mark wearing the spats (I think that's what they're called, but "little-man penguin shoes" is far more fitting ), when they clearly have nothing to do with a cha cha, a Gaga song, and the other two guys were very sensibly not wearing them. What is the matter with that boy? Sometimes I think I am too harsh in my dislike for him, but behavior like he exhibited last night makes me reconsider.

This is my first season watching DWTS, and it is clear that I have been watching it in a bubble and not reading any boards or articles!

I first saw Chelsea on the Jonas Bros. Disney show when my kids watched it. I liked her because she was upbeat and cute. For that reason, I have been happy that she has done well on DWTS. I have wished a couple of her dances were a little more traditional than they have been, but I have blamed any strangeness mostly on Mark. Until I read this board, I thought Chelsea was pretty well paired with Mark and did not realize that others think he is arrogant and not entertaining.

Ralph Macchio is my sentimental favorite because I remember the Karate Kid movies from my childhood. Additionally, I have been very surprised at how well he has done with the dances. I liked his dances from the first week and from this week especially well.

I know that a lot of people like Hines Ward, but he is my first choice to go tonight. I thought his dance this week received a higher score than it deserved, and I find all of the other dancers more entertaining than him. Kendra is my second choice to go this week. However, I really liked how she improved her attitude, and thus improved her dancing, starting with her Samba last week. I hope she gets a couple more weeks to show us her growth.

For me, Romeo and Kirsty make up a solid, entertaining middle of the pack. I hope they both get to stay longer to keep us entertained!

I enjoy DWTS, but I admit that my fast forward button gets a work out when I watch it. It is such a long show that I DVR it and just watch the performances and scores. Good luck to all six of the dancing stars tonight!

I would go so far as to say he is actually cheating. He is a great dancer, but maybe better suited to a different show in which BALLROOM dance rules do not apply. I can't help but think Maks as well as most of the pros could come up with dazzling choreography which could make them shine as well. They are going by the letter and spirit of the dance. Mark's shenanigans give him an unfair advantage. Wish the judges were more consistent.

Mark isn't worth defending believe me, but I have enjoyed watching Chelsea dance. I decided to put my negative feelings aside about the way I felt when it came to Mark and actually enjoy their performances each week.

Some of the other contestant's dances have bored me to tears. Uninspiring to say the least.

However, like I said last night all my votes have gone for Kirstie and Maks to stay on this show.

I agree that many of the dances are boring. I do enjoy watching Chelsie and Mark because their dancing engenders excitement and the choreography is interesting, but I thing maybe Chelsie has had dance experience to keep up with Mark like she does. Usually when his partners aren't skilled, he just dances like "gangbusters" around them, lol.
But the one that I think is showing growth and holding my interest is Ralph so that's who I give all my votes to. I notice the judges are easier on Kirstie--they never mention the awkwardness of her hands with the bent wrist and fingers spread oddly, but they were hard on Ralph about his hands early on.

Since the shoes have been getting a lot of attention I'm thinking that is just what they are designed to do. I do notice that you see his feet way more than his partner's and perhaps this is a strategy to keep the focus on him in case his partner makes a mistake or something. They certainly do their job because all you can see is those shoes flying around when they dance, lol. As far as him wearing them in the group dance I guess he already had them on and figured what the heck they sort of stand out think I'll just go with them

Huh, I never thought of that. Mark is such a show-off that I just assumed he wore the shoes because he loves the attention. I never thought it might be strategic. Is he possibly that clever?

Am I the only one who kinda likes the shoes? Really not a big deal for me.

I usually watch the professional more than the celebrities so if they wanna show off, go ahead! They are always more crisp and defined. I'm no judge or dancer, but it's too easy to spot lack of punch and definition in the celeb's routines.

It's clear that Mark is always trying to outdance his own partner - it's all about him, him, him......I've seen very little of this season, but I did watch some on the weekend and Mark annoyed me more than the norm. It's as if since Derek isn't around he believes the trophy will be his. Oops, I mean Chelsea's......

No, you were right the first time. I can hear it now: "The winner of Dancing with the Stars...Mark Ballas! Security, can you come escort this blonde girl away? She's been in his spotlight all season." Mark's over dancing and attitude have gotten worse throughout the seasons. The last time I found him tolerable (and likeable) was season 8. He definitely feels entitled, and what I hate more is he shows off attitude, breaks the rules, and 2/3 judges let him get away with it. It can't ever be anything negative coming his way, and they have to top the leaderboard every week. Maybe Mark figured it'd be an easier cake walk to his third trophy but that hasn't happened. And, of the group left, everyone has solid fan and judges support. Hopefully the judges don't sway this in what they want. I just want Chelsea/Mark gone before the finals.
