Appearing on stage without pants and trying to do the Tom Cruise Risky Business move is fine for a 19 yo, but not for a 32 yo. It took me half the dance to get that image out of my head and focus on the dance. Vienna looked very nice.
I am with you on this one. Seeing Jake in his underpants just about turned my stomach. He has said that he was going to go shirtless at some point (when he really needed the help) so when I saw him in his undies, I was really scared that he might take this opportunity to take his shirt off. ICK! Then once he put his pants on I had such a sour taste in my mouth that I couldn't appreciate the dance even if he did do well
Okay I love FORT's casino, but I really am not very good. If anyone wants to donate their FORT $$ I would gladly accept http://www.fansofrealitytv.com/forum....php?do=donate

I found it funny when he was being interviewed by Brooke and he couldn't get his "scripted" line out about flying and dancing. Then Chelsie's burn was something like "whatever that meant". He can come across so cheesy and fake; he needs to relax and just let it flow. He is too analytical in every aspect!

Agreed. Thank goodness Chelsie brought him some pants. The rest of the dance was fun.

Thank God I was flipping back and forth between House and DWTS, I managed to get lucky and miss Jakey in his underoos. I also missed his slip-up, or whatever the judges were talking about. I only caught the end of the dance, and his big cheesy plastic permagrin afterwards - he's quite impressed with himself, isn't he?

I hope they do Chelsie right next year after sticking her with this cheeseball.

Two or three seasons ago, we learned that the pro instructors earn $5K per week. If Jake's attitude is better in rehearsals as the clips indicate, Chelsie might not be in any big hurry to be freed from her job.

Once I heard the theme was Risky Business, I figured that Chelsie would have him emulate the Tom Cruise "Old Time Rock n Roll" dance moves sans pants.
Yes, Jake's corny and cheesy, but he does have a nice body and the girls on this show wear next to nothing on a weekly basis. So, I had no problem with it.

What's fascinating to me, is that nobody would have complained if Gilles did that number!!!

Gilles doesn't turn my stomach - Jake does - and with clothes on. He mentioned hot tubs last night, but I dont' remember him doing a hot tub scene. Must've blocked it from my memory - doesn't the brain protect itself from being traumatized?

I was pretty neutral on Jake before this season started.
Didn't particularly like or dislike him.

I am enjoying him on this show though, perhaps not in the training packages but definitely on performance nights.
I think he's putting in a lot of effort and he seems to be enjoying himself which I like to see.

Not particularly a Gilles fan, so I wouldn't be interested in seeing him do that scene. I'm reasonably sure that not every woman on the planet is hot for Gilles, although I do acknowledge his dancing ability and even understand his appeal although I don't feel it.

I could come up with a list of DWTS contestants that I would love to see do that scene, but it would be OT for this thread.

Suffice it to say that I didn't want to see Jake do it, and I thought that the judges were overly generous in their comments about his performance. I did like seeing Vienna in the audience, though.

I didn't mind the no pants because it fit the movie theme and it was only for a few secconds. His dance was good and he works hard which I like. At least he cares unlike ahem Kate.
