I haven't ever voted yet but I will next week for Emmitt.
He and Cheryl are my favorite.

I am voting Emmitt next week, I just can't stand Mario. He is too smug and smarmy.

I do care about the technical aspects, but watching someone who dances with such joy gets me more interested than seeing them be technically "perfect". Emmitt and Joey seem like great guys, just happy to be there. Mario... not so much, to me. Just my opinion.

I don't even think Mario should be in the competition. They should have all celebs that have never had any lessons at any time. Even if it is a week that they were in dance class they shouldn't be there.

Honestly, I think Emmitt and Mario are about equal on the dancing front, but Emmitt gets much more of my respect.

Lessons? Mario had a lot more than mere lessons. He was a working dancer as a kid, on the TV show "Kids Incorporated". That means working not only with dance teachers, but also professional choreographers.

Sure, it wasn't ballroom, but it certainly gives him advantage overall.

That said, Emmitt has a lot more natural charm than him. Mario's always looks forced.
