I think we all knew that statement was coming :lol Elsewhere I read Derek said she needed to finish out her contract and decided to just get it done, but I had thought her contract expired after season 8 (which is why she decided to come back for that season). It is only May, so I don't know if the producers are starting the rumor mill early to try and keep interest until the cast reveal in August. I wonder if they'll keep such a tight lid on it like they did last season.Quote:

You can tell she's really loving doing the show, tries her absolute hardest, doesn't complain when she gets a really stinker of a partner (3 seasons in a row :ohno), and she's just got such a great, positive, sweet demeanor. And I love her dancing. With the right partners I think she's come up with some really good routines. She looked defeated this season because I think she was expecting a better reception with Aiden, but those judges ripped him apart. She has mentioned over the last few months she is considering starting a family and keeps getting asked. If Lacey, Kym, and Karina are back for the fall season, I do think Edyta may be out. I would like Edyta to finally win. As happy as I was for Kym last season, I wish Edyta could have gotten Donny.Quote:
Thanks, Karalot, for the Edyta reminder. I adore her also. I did get a vibe from her this season like she might not be back - or perhaps might not be asked back. I love her personality and to watch her dance but her choreography isn't perhaps up to the level of some of the others. Still, it would be nice if she could have a ringer just once and then retire (maybe to have gorgeous babies) if she wishes.
I don't know anymore, as Karina never mentions Maks and he's barely mentioned her since the break up. I think both would be professional enough to deal with it if they had to. It's not like they won't ever see each other again, since they're both friends with the other pros and are in the world of ballroom. Maks does seem to have a lot on his plate, but I think like some of the other long term pros on the show, really wants to win. Tony has almost of a full plate, but he says he'll keep coming back as long as they have him. Since they brought back Ashly this season and added Damian, I wouldn't be surprised if they do that next season. Fall seasons are usually worse than the spring, so maybe it'll be better for my favorite pros being on in the better ones :)Quote:
Not sure how bad it is between Maks and Karina, but might they alternate seasons? Maks keeps hinting at "future plans," so I wonder if he will be around in season 11.
DWTS took a hit last night; first hour only had 17.76 million viewers, though the last half shot back up to 20 million. So not a huge drop but I guess maybe Jake was the real draw this season.
Julianne can stay away forever as far as I am concerned. Her and her brother are nice enough, but they seem like two kids with ADHD. They are so hyper, and overly silly for my taste. I think Edyta has the endearing factor of being on every season so far. I think she will always be asked back, and only she would be the one to stop the run. I love Kym and Alec, and want them back. Lacey can go forever too. I do not care for her.
My dream season would be Tony, Edyta, Ashly, Alec, Dimitry, Chelsie, Kym, Mark(only cause he is dating Chelsie), and some new ones.
Derek, Julianne, Maks, Lacey, Karina all can stay away.

I've been watching some after-party videos of the cast every week from the paparazzi, and when asked who they want to see do the show, Betty White's name keeps coming up. Betty said not too far back she's been asked but declined; however, Mark's daddy Corky said he'd love to be paired with her. Many people think the only reason he got cast was to pair older lady Cloris with him (of course they have no problem pairing the much older men with the girls who could be their grandkids). Anyway, Betty White would be high on my list, but not if it meant them bringing Corky back. She seems like the type, though, that if she said no once she probably won't reconsider. She made some remark that Cloris did it already so she didn't need to.Quote:

She has a movie and cd coming out this fall, and if this would end her contract with the show, I'm sure she'd return, get the publicity, finish off her tenure, and then dance off into the sunset. But if I had a chance at a Hough/Ballas free season, I'd take it. And of course I gotta have Maks every season ;) I'm more than ready for a break from Cheryl, Derek, and Mark, and Lacey can also stay away. I've loved having Ashly back this season, but there's been some other one/two time pros on this show I wouldn't mind seeing return for the ladies. I do hope she gets another chance. It makes me wonder, if they keep the 5 female pros for next season and bring back Lacey, Karina, Kym, and Julianne, who would get cut or if they'd cut all 5 from this season and bring in someone new. As I mentioned before, if Strictly Come Dancing is axing their dancers, maybe we can get some imports. I think the men on this show stand a better chance at making it back every season.

Tony and Cheyl choreographed for Toy Story 3.
How cool is this.
Wasn't Julianne up for the lead in the remake of Footloose? Anyone know what's going on with that?Quote:

VERY cool. Can't wait for this movie.Quote:
