A few of these are out of this show's league, but it's a great dream team. If we only got half of them I'd be one happy camper.:D

I like that template. If I were to list who my picks were, it would go something like this.
Male TV Star: Bryan Cranston
Female TV Star: Judge Judy
Male Movie Star: Sylvester Stallone
Female Movie Star: Sandra Bullock
Male Olympian: Kurt Angle
Female Olympian: Nadia Comaneci
NFL Player: I don't watch, so anyone
Supermodel: Janice Dickinson, to hopefully see her fall early
Male Pop Singer: Justin Timberlake
Female Pop Singer: Rihanna
Talk Show Host: Ellen. I agree!
Las Vegas: None
Reality Star: Richard Hatch
Disney Kid: None
Politician: Sarah Palin herself
Most choices probably aren't logical at all, but I jotted down what came to mind and sounded entertaining :lol
Lance Armstrong is the latest celeb to turn the show down. How long before Tan

I understand the logic of wanting a Lohan or someone like Lance, but then I don't understand. It's a short term ratings boost (potentially-it seems even Britney Spears couldn't lift The X Factor and the feuding divas on AI aren't bringing in ratings gold, either). And TPTB will claim they hope the viewers tuning in for those freak shows will enjoy the show, the other celebs, and stick around. But it's all pure PR spin. They need to fix things with the show, but they're going about it the wrong way. And will likely alienate the viewers who have stuck around through Kardashians, Bristol, and Kate. I really wish they'd go back to the drawing board and duplicate the earlier seasons formats. When the judges were sane and gave constructive criticism, the worst stunt casting offender was Heather Mills, the dances were actually ballroom and playing by the rules, and there wasn't all the fake drama and showmances going on painting the pros and/or the celebs in a bad light because TPTB wanted them gone. Oh, and when the judges would actually give scores matching the dances (3s and 4s were more common than today).
Their sadism finds pleasure in asking celebs at their lowest lows to participate on their show.
To round up some more casting rumors:
*Dina Lohan (who slithers her way into every seasons casting talk; she's been wanting to do it forever. Hopefully TPTB aren't that desperate for a train wreck)
*Deena Cortese (former 'Jersey Shore' cast member)
*Shannon Bex (former singer with 'Danity Kane')
The cast is being announced live on GMA during February sweeps (thank you ABC for not announcing it during The Bachelor). First rehearsals start Feb. 25th.
Very little in the way of rumors this season. But the last few seasons have been like this, and then right before the announcement, more confirmed names start coming out. Season 15 got entirely spoiled because of the TV Guide issue that came out one day before the announcement.
No word yet on any pros that are in or out, except Derek. Cheryl has hinted she won't be back, and I've heard rumors Kym may be taking a break (she's currently filming Celebrity Apprentice in Australia). We'll see if anyone from the troupe gets promoted this time.

I want to see Ellen on. And now that I'm a 24 fan, Dennis Haysbert. <33
Even her other half, Portia da la Rossi. She was rumored in the past, but didn't show much interest when she put the rumors to rest. Tom is trying to get William Shatner to do the show, and has for a long time. I doubt he'd be much of a dancer, but he'd probably be fun. I'd love to see other Star Trek alums from the various series. (Leonard Nemoy, George Taikei, Jonathan Frakes, Wil Wheaton). Genie Francis is friends with Tom, and has been trying to get him to put a good word in for both her and her hubby (ST alum Jonathan) to do the show. Genie would have the soap fanbase behind her, too.
I wouldn't be surprised if they try and recruit someone from the 49ers or Ravens. We know they love their football players :)
I saw some other articles that the beauty queen (I can't remember her name) that Brent Musberbrger was lusting after at the Alabama - Notre Dame game is now trying to get on the show. Amazing what might qualify as a "star" these days.
I also saw that Katie Holmes is under consideration - at least I've heard of her. She would qualify as a "B lister"
So much for moving on to bigger and better things:

“I don’t know. As of now, I’m not sure I’m returning this season, in particular,” Derek told Access Hollywood on the red carpet at the premiere of his sister’s film, “Safe Haven,” in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening.
But good news for fans of the three-time mirrorball winner.
“I’ll be back for the Fall season,” Derek added.
