Sounds like TPTB tried to get Ann Romney for next season, but she turned them down:

I have nothing against Ann, but I wish they'd refrain from inviting politicos from all stripes.
I wouldn't mind Ann Romney; I actually like her and tend to find her one of the least offensive political people they could ask. But I just don't want anyone involved with politics on the show-whether it's the politican themselves, a family member, mistress, illegitmate child, whatever. The shows know what it's doing, even though they try and hide it and claim that 'these are people we can relate to and have struggles'. The only thing it relates to is the main demo watching this show in age range. That's not exactly a way to get younger viewers, which I think they need to give up.
Some other rumors coming out:
Katherine Webb (the current IT girl)
Victor Ortiz (Boxer-and no boxer has ever really done well on this show that I can recall, attitude or dance wise)
Arianna Celeste (Model & UFC ring girl)
And, since they couldn't get Ann Romney, Teresa Heinz-Kerry is supposedly lobbying to be on the show. If they're desperate for someone in politics, they might just go for her if any of their first choices decline.
So while TPTB are saying that they are going to still be doing 2 seasons a year, if this line up turns out to be true, they might have to settle for another ratings plunge and one season a year.

It would also make it easier for them to do 2 seasons a year again. And it gives ABC more flexibility with their time slot to try new shows during the off-seasons.
The only problem with that is that a shorter season won't give the "stars" as much time to become proficient dancers. Watching that is one of the most fun parts about the show.Quote:

I decided to come up with a cast list that I would enjoy watching next season. None of the "stars" are such A listers that they would be unacheivable. All are fit enough that they might not embarass themselves on the dance floor. No polarizing figures need apply. Here is my list:

This for me would be a fun season to watch.
Asking Lohan to participate right now is pretty low.
I would love to see Jessie Tyler Ferguson. I have a crush on him ( and yes, I know he is gay) but he loves dance! he's so good on SYTYCD. If he doesnt dance, he could judge. :up
