If the show doesn't want the embarrassment of Bristol potentially making it into the finals again, over dancers who are clearly better than she is, some of whom have even won before, the judges need to get ruthless with her scores. She wasn't just 2.5 points worse than Gilles. The difference between those two dances was much greater than that.

Whew! Gilles is safe. But Helio is in jeopardy? How in the hell can that be? There's no way Helio's quickstep was worse than Bristol's. Not in anybody's universe.

I don't want to lose Val so early again, either, but Kelly is so improved (I give her the most improved award over Bristol), and she's so much of a joy to watch. She'll continue improving, and she obviously wants to be there. I did worry about her fanbase coming in, however.

Of all seasons not to have a dance off...Joey is the worst of the 3 and quite honestly wasn't so hot last week, either. I think his time is short lived anyway, but I think Kelly could rebound. Helio I think is there because they need a bottom 3.
