Dancing With the Stars Pool

This will be a simple pool where you'll pick four all-star couples for your team, designating one couple to be your superstars. They will earn double points for you.

Each dance couple will earn 10 points for each week they remain in the competition.

If a couple on your team is declared the winner this season, you'll get a bonus of 30 points.

When every couple on your team has been eliminated, you're out.

The person with the most points at the end of the season wins the pool.

You have until September 30th to sign up for the pool. Post your team name, 1 superstar couple, and 3 other couples in this thread or send your selections to me by private message.

ATTENTION: POOL UPDATE

I should have counted the number of couples before deciding how many you could pick for your team. Since there are more couples than I realized, you can pick a total of 5 couples (1 superstar couple plus 4 others).

I'm in - but narrowing it down to 5 couples was tough! I'm going with:

Gilles and Peta
Kristie and Maks
Apolo and Karina
Shawn and Derek
Drew and Anna

My superstar couple - either Gilles or Apolo. I think because Karina is the better choreographer, I have to go with Apolo.

It was easy for me to pick my superstar team--Apolo & Karina! I had never heard of Apolo before he was on Dancing With the Stars (I don't watch sports) but I came to adore him on the show. He was a fantastic dancer and I liked his personality, too!

The others weren't so easy to pick but I finally selected Shawn & Derek, Joey & Kym, Emmit & Cheryl, and Drew & Anna. This may change if one of them gets eliminated on the first episode but I don't see that happening.

Winning isn't everything for me and I suck at picking people who will do well on reality shows so now I pick people I like for my pool teams. I don't want to add someone I despise just because I think they'll do well in the competition. I'd rather lose the pool than cheer on contestants I don't like!

I'm not exactly rooting for Shawn/Derek, I won't lie, but I just have a feeling your girl is going to have a good run and if she doesn't, oh well! Lol.

Just noticed my list contains three previous winners...I gotta say, if we do have a repeat winner, I couldn't think of three better guys to take it home twice

I'm having a hard time deciding whether to do this for two reasons, but I guess I'll give it a shot. Reason 1, I get incensed by the judges manipulation of results, and 2) I'm having a hard time eliminating one of the six pairs I'd want to select.
Still, it is a fun activity since I no longer vote. I'm picking from among the pairs I like best, so my chances are probably slim and none, but that's okay.
