She is a Welsh lyric mezzo-soprano. She is a classical-popular crossover singer who performs across a spectrum of operatic , she has sung on this show before.If you google her , you can hear her voice on you tube .She is wonderful( well I think so)

Fabulous job. This team got my votes. I agreed with the judges (for once). Jaleel and Katherine put on the best performances of the night. I threw my votes to Katherine for 2 reasons:
1. She is not well known in the US and I'm afraid she will be overlooked until folks realize that she is a bonafide star.
2. I liked her and her music before the competition even started.

The other couples were also deserving, but I don't want to see her leave before her time as many talented dancers have.

It made me wonder if the producers planned on scoring William and Katherine high to ensure they stick around, because they're the two unknowns of the cast (although I'm still predicting Martina as a likely first boot).

Mark was the most tolerable tonight than he's been in a long time (I'm thinking season 5, his very first season). Katherine seems very lovely and did better than even I was expecting. I think I'll definitely prefer her ballroom to her latin dances, but I'm curious to see her jive next week (and whether Mark goes back to outdancing his partner or not). Maybe he got a reality check in the off season. I don't know that I would have given any dance 9s, but that's because I'd rather see people really have to work to get there. If they're that good already, what else is left to work for or expect? I certainly won't mind her sticking around. Mark is TBD.

Well said! I keep sending everyone to you tube , so they can hear her sing. I hope she stays, she is a very good dancer, more than she knows.

She did amazing last night. Very elegant and beautiful. I can't stand her partner AT ALL. I hope he doesn't start with the stupid choreography showcasing himself instead of her.
