in what world did that happen?

Hopefully the insta-samba and those 2 extra points put J.R. over the edge. I can't stand the thought of the alternate outcome.

Interesting that the other two couples looked genuinely surprised that R/D came in third. The other two are only a point apart on the judges' scoreboard. Please let R.J. beat the Kardashian kid.

I don't mind them getting a montage, but does that mean the second place finisher and the winner will too? Guess that will eat up some time....

First and second place usually get a good bye video package, but not a montage like that.

Well, the day was coming that Derek made the finals and lost. Cheryl looked a little surprise.

Anybody else wish that a departing contestant would just once say, "It was a lot of fun, I learned a lot, I loved my partner--but I don't really feel changed as a person."?

Does this mean only the judges get the final say in who wins? Because we all know CA is going to vote for Rob and after the footwork comment, Len may too.

The insta-samba is individually scored, and that is added to their overall total. So it's still 50/50, but I think the judges can tip the scale if they wanted to. Hopefully J.R. is far enough out there that the judges could give him straight 1s and he'd still win.
