Holy cow, man, I just really really really like the dances Derek is involved in! Was that Anna?

Ha, that was a smart move to freak the judges out by running up on their table. They jerked back bigtime, got themselves a huge rush of adrenalin that their body will then convert to enthusiam. Derek is a strategist.

The second half of their dance was so fun to watch.

I don't want ringers, but I do hope next year the quality of celebs is above this year's crop. Not just in actual star quality (Lindsey Lohan is reportedly tweeting for her mom to join-which might be Dina in disguise, as Dina tried using her daughter to get on the show in the past), but also in dancing ability and likeability. Last season was so great because everyone was fun, having a good time, wanted to be there, wanted to learn, were respectful to their pros, and could actually dance.

Hope's package seemed shorter than Rob's. I think that was heaviliy edited to make her look bad and the judges look good, although their facial expressions said it all.

AT&T dance segment time. One of the dancers mentioned how it wasn't easy growing up a male dancer. I'm sure all the male pros can sympathize.

How close did Derek's foot come to Anna's head (in the end pose)?

Ooo yuck, who wants to watch Lindsay Lohan's mom learn to dance. I never heard of her, am definately not interested.

I don't get what it is with this show and singing-not just our version, but any international version I've watched, the singers butcher classics and 80s pop tunes as bad as we do. At least we're not alone :)

This was an interesting piece, and I guess I should sympathize with straight kids who get harassed for being dancers. But I don't know if it's so bad for them that they get to co-opt the "it gets better" motto. It's already a little better for them than for a lonely gay kid who gets harassed no matter what his interests are.
