Let's be honest: if it's close, the judges may make absolutely sure that Ricki wins. They'll pull out some stupid new finale rules where the judges get more chances to put a team over the top if they fear Derek won't get his fourth trophy.

This may not be fair, but for me, it's the whole package editing. I knew as soon as she went on last week about wanting to quit and how hard it was, they'd get the first tens of the competition. They showed a short clip of her talking about all the pressure on them to do well this week, so naturally, they'll do as well or better than they did last week, and everyone will be expected to believe they're surprised and that we're supposed to be surprised too. I have a hard time believing they are, and I know I'm not.

And how long does the voting keep open? Last week, I tried voting for Maks 25 minutes after the show ended, and it said my voting in my time zone was closed!

I just feel for J.R., because they keep telling him how great he is, but they reserve the ten paddles for one couple and one couple only. I just don't see D/R being that much better than J.R./K, and it must be terribly frustrating for them not to know what they could do to get past that (if it's possible at all, as opposed to being a foregone conclusion that they simply can't, no matter how well they dance).

Yep. Frankly, I think JR/K are better than D/R most of the time, and a lot more fun to watch! It sucks to think that the dang judges will never see their way clear to giving 10s to someone other than their pets.

Ricki will probably get the win based on Derek's fanbase. It'll be like Shawn and Gilles, except Ricki is more well known than J.R., and has Derek. Ricki would be a different kind of winner (since they didn't get Kirstie, they can get the wannabe). I always loved Ricki, but she's really annoyed me this season. I definitely didn't miss the Derek love fest last season, although we had Mark and the neverending quest to keep him in. A Hough/Ballas free finale, which we've only had once since season 4, worked fine in season 9.
