"...each affects the other, and the other affects the next, and the world is full of stories, but the stories are all one." - Mitch Albom, one helluva writer
When you throw a rock into a pack of dogs, you know which one you hit by the one that yelps!
I think the difference is with attitudes. Nancy knows she isn't great, but is trying, and ultimately knows her partner knows what he's doing, so she's not questioning his background. Kate was delusional to think she was any good, and couldn't figure out why the judges were so mean to her or why she got the scores she did. Of course, she can't seem to understand why the universe hates her.
Well, he's had the swine flu and ended up with his neck in a cast in previous seasons. I don't think tumbling over Ricki's dress would bother him all that much.
If D/R take over the lead from R.J./K and T/C, I'm not sure I would want to be them anyway. A divorce and fire are very sad, but it's not gonna top what happened to R.J. in terms of emotional appeal.
Yes!
Ricki's story is touching, too.

Their dance is nice, too.
Very romantic.
Choreography great, as usual.
Still think JR and Karina've got 'em beat, though.
I'm talking emotions . . .
