Ricki Lake: Beautiful dress. One of the top contenders, for sure. Glad my Derek is back.

When you throw a rock into a pack of dogs, you know which one you hit by the one that yelps!
That it'll probably be overscored. Kind of dull, but I like Ricki...tough call. Bruno says something that I can't understand but it was all good. CA says she looks like a princess and she still has her boy crush. Len at least is the voice of reason-didn't like her footwork, but thought it was elegant.
Derek's really toned down his mugging and antics.
Scores: 7/6/7
Oh, geez. Does Derek have to refer to himself as "the return of the Hough" and point out that he has three mirror balls and two movies? I don't dislike Rikki, but oh, how I hope the judges don't immediately gush, because so far we haven't had a ringer.
Oh, crap. They were good. The judges are going to want to hand them that trophy from the get-go. My apologies to Derek fans, but I never like competitions where the same person or team keeps winning over and over again. I like underdogs and surprises and come from behind victories.
- Derek gets a 6!

Gotta give it up to Derek, love him or hate him, he's one hell of a choreographer and dancer.
20.
OK.

glad they didn't get the top score. I definitely did enjoy Chynna/Tony Hope/Maks and JR/Karina more. And I'm not saying that b/c I'm the anti-Derek fan.
Well, hallelujah. They didn't gush. In fact, over-scored or not, most of the competitors have been kept pretty close together. Do think Carson/Anna were low balled compared to some of the earlier competitors who got similar scores. It's not that Carson was so technically perfect, but neither were those earlier competitors--the difference is that he really sold what he could do and made it look like it was fun.
