I would give her one week pass based on her improvement over week #1.

I'll miss Val, but not Elisabetta. She isn't the worst dancer, so technically if we were basing it on that, she shouldn't leave. But I enjoy the worse dancers like Carson and David more. She needs to grow a thicker skin if she wants to make it in Hollywood. Her and Val's rehearsals were tense, but she came off as whiny. Obviously, that's not doing her any good for creating an image for herself. Also, she's going to get the Clooney reference. She goes on interviews or late night shows, she isn't famous enough to be a diva and demand they don't talk about him. He's the only reason we know who she is. Otherwise, she'd be yet another no named model that graced the floor like those before. I can see why Val's frustrated. She can dance, and dance fairly well. She needs more confidence. Maybe the sudden negative edit is due to no showmance rumors with these two and her attitude? Val seems very sweet and fun in interviews and interactions with Tom and Brooke. So I think he needs to incorporate that into rehearsals. Or maybe get a partner that's actually fun to be around.
I think it is the language barrier that makes her seem standoffish. She just doesn't understand what is being said when said quickly like with the Brooke interview in the skybox. I feel a bit sorry for her. Who knows what she could do if she and Val could actually speak the same language with the same nuances. They need both a Russian and an Italian translator on hand at all times.

I agree that language skills did her in more than her dancing. She should go on Italian version of DWTS (if such a thing exists). I still don't know much about her, but keep thinking we would have grown to like her if she stayed longer.
There is an Italian version of the show (I've actually been amazed at the number of countries that have their own version). From what I had read, Elisabetta was more well known and popular in Italy, so she no doubt would have fared better on that version. I can see the appeal of her wanting to do our version, if she wanted to break more in the US entertaiment industry. And get out from under Clooney's shadow. She came across as shy in interviews, but I think it was the language barrier that made her that way, and maybe caused some of the friction with her and Val. Dance wise I thought she was one of the better ones, but it didn't help that her insecurity showed through or what appeared to be coldness towards the crowd. Being lumped so close with the other couples this week meant fanbases were crucial. In some post show interviews, she seemed disappointed but came across more pleasant. I do take back my original impression of not liking her, I think underneath it all she's probably very sweet. We just didn't get that far to see it.
I think those of us who speak English have a hard time understanding Brooke at times. Although I will admit she has gotten better this season. I thought it was cute at the beginning of their quickstep that Val was shown reading an Italian language dictionary. I was actually surprised in listening to her how broken her English was. I had never heard her speak prior to this.I think it is the language barrier that makes her seem standoffish. Interesting that she and Clooney hung in there for quite awhile with the language barrier. I guess that is some men's dream.![]()
