The only other athlete of the cast, Hope Solo hails from the competitive world of women's professional soccer. The 30-year-old goalkeeper currently plays for the Boca Raton-based magicJack team, which includes the likes of Marian Dalmy, Christie Rampone and Tina Ellerston. In July, Solo and the U.S. women's soccer team lost 3-1 in a heartbreaking penalty shootout to Japan in the FIFA World Cup tournament.

Big Hope Solo fan here(big Maks fan too ) so they'll have my votes! And I don't usually vote...my 9 year old gets all the votes for whichever Disney star is cast that season.

Love Maks, so here's hoping to a good, long season with my Ukrainian eye candy. Never heard of Hope prior to this but she seems very pleasant in interviews. Maks sounds really excited so far. Hopefully that's because she's not as bad of a dancer as she's letting on (plus, having a dream partner and them being persuaded to do it would make me pretty happy, too)/

When I first saw Hope on the soccer highlights I thought she would be perfect for this show and perfect for Maks, so I'm HOPEful that she will do well.

Love me my Maks. They seem to give him the female athletes (especially the bigger girls). I think he really likes to train the athletes because he has said they following instructions and are easier to coach.

Maks seems more excited than usual this season. Maybe it'll finally be his season. I'd like to see him win at least once before he winds up leaving the show for good. From interviews I've read/seen of Hope, I'm absolutely loving this girl. She's putting her all into this, even though she knows it's completely out of her element. She and Maks are going to make an amazing team.
