I think the freestyle round is overrated.

IDK..some of the free styles have been the best part of the season while others have just plain ole sucked...and it made you wonder how that person even made it to the round of the free style

I don't completely dislike it, just the over-emphasis the show puts on as the whole 'make or break' someone's shot at the mirror ball. Obviously some freestyles are still good, but some are just bad imitations of those that came before them (that's how I feel about all the hip hop routines).

Oh, and we get Joey's freestyle song, too.

Also stripping your clothes off to something underneath is overdone. Season 7 used to be my least favorite, but after season 9, 11, and possibly this one, it looks pretty good now.
