Oh, God, yes--PLEASE stop the singing.

The judges seem to be loving Kym and Hines, but the match of the dance and music was so terrible it was hard for me to concentrate on it. I like K/H, but I don't know how to be really impressive when you're stuck rhumbaing to "God Bless the U.S.A."

I had a feeling that "patriotic" night was going to be a bad idea, and I was right. They could have done an American Standards night if they wanted to be all patriotic, and they still would have been able to come up with appropriate music. And they could have brought in a real 1940s style big band with real vocalists. Sigh. What makes all this so much worse is that it's following the far better music of last week.

I said it before and I'll say it again. Fire Brooke, save whatever you're paying her, and dump it into better music.

After this season I can't even believe TPTB think Brooke is a good co-host. I skip her segments all together when I watch Monday's show, since I have to record it. And the band? Yeah, I don't mind the actual band. The singers? Well, if they're a package deal, get a new band.

I figured patriotic night would be a bust. I heard Chelsea is dancing to a Disney song tonight. I wonder if they really are trying to get her fanbase going.

What were Hines/Kym's scores?

Kirstie: I don't like her partner's half-outfit. The pants look vulgar...like they are straight out of a porn movie. And I didn't care one hoot about that dance routine.

I just don't think this guy is a gorgeous as a lot of people think he is.

Well, if Maks is shirtless, I won't complain...

He did mention in his blog he wasn't really feeling their routine this week. He said the song wasn't a traditional foxtrot song, and he was having issues coming up with a routine to entertain CA/Bruno and satisfy the traditional Len. I guess Kirstie has to have one week down.

I hope saving Chelsea/Mark to the end doesn't become a habit.
