Had they gone later on, they probably would have gotten 3 8s or even a 9, just to balance out with the rest of the couples. That's one of the downfalls of going early.

I wondered that to because obviously TPTB place the contestants in the spots they want then to be in. Otherwise, if they were following a similar formula that other reality show comps use Maks and Kirstie would have gone first last week.

We know it is also based on the contestant who gains the most good/bad buzz (Kate) or the star who performs the best each week (Ralph).

I saw Chelsea Kane on a Disney Channel interview (about six months ago). She has a little smart aleck mouth. She gave the impression she has danced before in several groups at various times. This was before any mention of her being on DWTS. Gretchen Carlson (former Miss America, not sure what year) interviewed her for some news spot about Disney shows in Orlando. Chelsea was part of a dance group doing a special in Orlando. Chelsea showed little respect for the aged Miss America. I didn't care for her at all she is full of herself. As for Mark, he is a pretty good dancer with an attitude, they should do well together as both are of the same type personality. Can't take away from his dancing ability though.

Chelsie and Mark deny they're dating and say they're just friends...but who knows. If they want to keep it a private matter, that's their business.

ITA - whatever they are, I noticed he kissed Chelsie on the tip of her nose last night when they finished their dance. I got burned with the Maks/Erin pairing and thinking that was real, so I'm not speculating any longer!

I find her absolutely adorable. She reminds me of a young Cameron Diaz.
And, I love watching her dance.

They are going to win this season. That is my prediction.
I remember from Sabrina that Americans love their disney stars and she is dancing with Mark who is one of the Golden 3.

They don't love them too much because Sabrina went out fairly early in a surprise elimination. Everyone was shocked.

Chelsea has a lot more dance background than Ralph. She's done a lot of musical theater in shows that demanded dance talent. It doesn't bother me, but I wondered why this wasn't mentioned when everyone started questioning Ralph's earlier dance experience.

I don't particularly like what I've seen of her personality so far, but she is a good dancer and deserves to be around for a while.

Mark does a lot of things when he knows there's a camera on him.

If I were Chelsea, I wouldn't be falling for Mark anytime soon. I'd still be ticked off at him for selling me out and nearly getting me eliminated by choreographing a dance that he knew the judges wouldn't like.
