My prayer is that Ralph stays if he really wants to and that Chelsea leaves tonight. That way, I'm okay with whoever wins.
Ralph needs to make sure he is not doing damage to his knee by staying on it. The contest is not more important than his health.
He may be too proud to leave on his own. In a way he may need permission to leave by the votes. He knows how he is really admired for his bravery. Plus, he really is great. Without this injury, he had a good shot at winning IMO.

I'd love Ralph so much if he did that. Well, I don't want him to drop out, especially at the final 4. But my bigger fear is he'll drop out tonight and it'll be revealed that Chelsea/Mark would have wound up going home had he not withdrawn. I haven't seen any indication he will, but fingers crossed he can stay in. Truthfully, I only saw Ralph lasting to the final 4 anyway. If he was going to drop out this week, wouldn't he have done it last night before he danced?? Just seems odd that he would dance and step down prior to tonight's show --- should he not be able to compete next week because his injury stopped him from rehearsing this week - that would be entirely different.
They did that with Tom Delay during season 9. He had a foot injury and they dragged it out all episode whether or not he'd be able to dance. He did, but whether he knew he'd end up dropping out the next day (which is what happened) I have no idea. They even declared Tom safe during the results show before he dropped out at the end. So for suspense sake they might have had Ralph go out and dance, if they knew he was leaving and didn't have to go into overdrive. Or he might have thought he could do it and finds out today it's not wise for him to continue.
I just checked Ralph's twitter account on-line. His last message indicated that he had been elevating his leg and icing his knee all day and that it was "substantially better" and that he hoped he and Karina would be back next week.
He also complimented Karina on the choreography for their VW and said he was very proud of that performance.
It sounds to me as if they'd have to drag him off that floor after his knee blew up. It doesn't sound like he'd withdraw unless the show forced him to do so for insurance purposes (and they've certainly allowed others to continue on with injuries in the past).
I LOVE Ralph, and will be so upset if he is eliminated. He has been the highlight of the season for me. Mind you, I want what is best for his health, but if he wants and is able to continue (which it sounds like he is), than I SO hope he is safe tonight. I'm really worried, though. Love him!
I hope Ralph is safe. I split my votes for the first time last night between Kirstie and Ralph. Didn't the doctor say a cyst burst behind his knee. If that's the case, it's draining and healing up and I don't think would be a permanent type of injury, unless it somehow is a reoccuring thing. Would dancing prolong the healing or not matter? I have no idea.
