I am embarrassed to admit that I am old enough to remember, and while I never found him all that attractive myself, I was a fan of his singing, and even have one of his CDs.

And Mick Jagger? Again, old enough to remember the days when he was considered super sexy. (I once saw him in a club, probably 25-30 years ago, and he was tiny!)

I certainly fall into the category that should've found both men sexy - i did not.

Loved Mick Jaggar as a singer and the Rolling Stones but I never got the appeal of him.

Well, I've decided to not watch the rest of the show. I would have, since I do like Jennifer Gray. But this show has changed too much. It's going the way Idol did - too much emphasis on the judges - less on the talent.

To me, the whole point of the show was to take people who weren't dancers and work to make dancers out of them. Granted, Michael wasn't very good, but he didn't deserve the beat down he did. Enough for me! I'll find something else to watch.

I'll probably stick with DWTS until the end, whenever that happens, though I could change my mind. It has gotten so far from the wonderful, cheesy concept it started out as. I know things have to change, and ratings mean everything, but DWTS needs to stop copying other shows, and stop trying to dig itself in a hole to get that demographic. It's the same story this year: there's those the judges/show will target to go early, Derek gets a contender and love from the judges no matter what, poor Maks is having to bend over backwards to convince people he and Brandy get along (she had a tough season to follow with the showmance and Erin), because he knows where that'll lead him. The Kate Gosselin stunt castings are glossed over and patted on the back, getting an E for effort. Since Michael's gone, and really seemed the odd one out of the whole cast, it'll be interesting who they turn on next. Eventually, they'll probably even target Bristol and Mike. I don't think they'd want them to win. Get far, yes, but not win. Jennifer's the Cinderella ending if they went for that angle. Rick, Audrina, and Kyle are the surprises of the season. Kurt's the good sport, a more graceful Ty Murray who would probably still keep on smiling even with a beat down like Bolton got. I don't think the show is focusing on the judges too much, but CA's schtick with lifts is annoying, as is her fake crying when a performance "moves her" and something "magical just happened". Bruno used to be comic relief but is getting more annoying, and I doubt Fox wants or needs him. Len's still a good keep, the only one who keeps his sanity on the panel.

But I love this show, and there's not much else I watch in the fall/spring. It at least provides debates around here that are lively, and as long as I get my eye candy, I'm good. I'm glad Anna and Tony seem to finally be getting some credit by getting good partners. Anna two seasons in a row!

Great insights, kara. The show really is a fascinating concept despite the annoyances; plus, the debates on this board are as much a reason that I watch as seeing Maks samba

As long as Maks is on, I'll watch no matter what. And speaking of samba, hopefully we get a little shirtless Maks this week Heck, I'll take another tush wiggle. Screw what Len says.

I especially agree with the bolded parts, but I'm afraid I can no longer watch this show. I'll read the comments on this Board but will not give ABC my eyeballs for this time slot.

CA's "you move me" schtick and Bruno's antics have pushed me overboard. Fox won't take him either. Tell me again how successful Bruno's and CA's show was again? : UhHuh. Right. DWTS is like one big career boost for them, and they still can't make it work for themselves.

And though I never really watched the show, I remember Bruno's side tanked and lost every week to viewer votes. Except one I believe. The show itself was kind of a stupid concept. I was reading reviews for the new season of SCD, which started up this week, and someone commented that the show was getting too much like DWTS for giving out 7s and 8s, as they usually give outs 1s, 2s, and 3s. I wish our show followed that scoring format more. Sounds like they even have their own version of CA over there, too.

Either way, it's predictable every season. We might see a surprise elimination in either Audrina, Kurt, or Rick going sooner than they should. ABC may choose to really push for their Disney star to get into the finals. Jennifer's probably a lock. Kurt, Rick, or Brandy may fill out the last spot. I think Florence, Margaret, Bristol, and Mike will go next, as they're technically the worst, but fanbases and pimping by the show might keep them in. I don't like the show doing 2 ballroom dances this week compared to one latin, and having the waltz so soon after the VW.

I'm worried about Audrina being the shocker elimination. I just don't know how much show are invested in her and Tony over some others. They are both super nice and super hot but there's no real controversy there compared to some others. I'm hoping they like having her as dark horse. I think they will play up the Kurt/Rick angle for some time but not sure if show really would want both in finale or one to take a hike at semis.

I agree with your next 4 being the ones who should go but you just never know. I have a hunch they'd like Bristol and The Situation around a little longer so that could mean adios to Cho and Florence first. We could see these 3 overscored and some others underscored. I just hope these 4 don't end up taking out better dancers due to show's agenda. It would be nice to see the best dancers stay in it longer.

If I were the celeb I'd much rather have Latin over waltz or FT this week because it's a lot more exciting especially for those who just had QS last week. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. I do think show is very predictable in that there really is no way Grey/Derek don't make finale and barring backlash they win.

Even though Audrina seems to be gaining a fanbase and ground, that's what I worry about-she's too nice. Not a sleaze, not paired with a pervy pro, not the judges chosen one, they don't cause drama between each other. She comes out and does what we saw back in the early years of the show, and probably would have gotten more credit back then. Mike should be the next to go, and this week will be interesting in terms of the most obvious boot in Bolton being axed. I'm not surprised Florence, Bristol, and Mike got easier dances than the samba. They would have butchered that worse than the band does the songs. I'm sure this will be a shining week for all 3. Nor am I surprised Brandy and Jennifer got the samba, and I can already see the 9 paddle coming, at least from 2 of our resident kiss a** judges. Last week opened the door for that.

It all seems orchestrated every season, from the music choices, dance styles, and order. And the show likes to throw out the theory that people can love Bristol, they relate to Mike's experience doing this, etc. Some celebs get bigger hype than they deserve. It wouldn't be a bad thing if the show would maybe not be so bias, or at least give the pros better equality in the mix of things. Tony's a nice guy, but obviously not as big of a hit with the judges or the producers to keep getting the celebs he gets. Now he's got someone he could potentially win with, but who won't be viewed as exciting or controversial enough. I'm sure they'd love the press more of a shocking elimination than Audrina going through. Maybe it'll be Kurt, Rick, or Kyle. Eventually, unless you're a chosen one, you get thrown under the bus at some point.

I'm sure Grey will get some 9s this week. Not so sure anyone else does. It wil be interesting to see who they rip this week and who they build up. I think Brandy will go up some this week but I think she's another who could run the risk of suprise elimination down the line.

Sadly the judges do have pull even when couples deserve to stack around. I'm praying they come to see Audrina as dark horse being a good thing and Tony going far which was so unlikely going into the season as unexpected and exciting. I noticed a lot stood after this last dance so audience does take well to them. Whether show goes for substance and nice versus crazy who knows. lol

I do think at some point they will turn on Kurt/Rick and favor Kyle a bit more as Kurt/Rick are similiar in that both are good looking athletes and Kyle brings in Disney dynamic. I don't think it happens for weeks but I do think ultimately it happens.

I agree Mike should prob go this week but I think it will be a woman as 2 men are already out. I wouldn't be shocked to see both go before Mike and perhaps he then follows. I can't see him getting by Kyle, Kurt, and Rick. Even if they boost his scores and I'm sure they will next 2 weeks he's still bad. I'm thinking maybe they target Cho before Flo but we shall see. As CA has already said live that she looks forward to seeing Bristol "week after week" we know she's not going anywhere anytime soon. Add in Mark being another show fave and that also bodes well for her. They could opt to play up Derek/Mark again.
