9/20 Season Premiere Show Discussion **Spoilers**

I must give it to Derek, he did look very emotional when she started crying. That struck a chord with me. Can't believe Derek Hough made me emotional. (still not at all on team Derek though)

Uh oh, our sensitivity is showing. I hope the Hoff does well. He is a riot. Knows how to make fun of himself & doesn't take himself to serious.

I'm sorry, but I'm rooting for Jennifer. And I have no problem with Derek, in fact I like him. They danced very well, and it was sort of an easy entrance for her, and hopefully they've gotten the sentimental stuff out of their systems and will get down to business with the jive, as Len challenged.

I think her and Derek's feelings were genuine; ABC may have exploited it a little, but they were the only ones. I look forward to the rest of the season.

It's just manipulation on the show's part that I don't like. Give Derek another partner with a ton of potential and some experience, no obvious unfixable faults. Give her a song from DD so they can bring up Patrick and get the tears flowing. Derek does no wrong with the judges. If Derek was partnered with a celeb I'd like, I'd put my dislike of him to the side. But I don't like Jennifer, and see it's going to be the same thing with Derek this season.

Just like I figured, 24, so they're leading. No surprise Derek's leading.

Maybe SHE will be good for Derek..,.make him a bit more likeable..as for me..I thought she did great..and I too got teary eyed..could be I am from the "dirty dancing" era..and know that movie by heart...if they are going for the heart tugging with her ...it worked!

I noticed they cut to Jamie Lee Curtis in the audience (whom I have always admired, btw) during Jennifer's performance. Do these two have a connection to each other?

Cha cha was horrible, and I worry David's going to try too hard to rely on comedy. But I enjoyed it. I love Kym, missed her last season, and want her to last.
