Yeah, I wonder why they never came back to compete. Or Misty Mae Trainor. With Jewel, I can kind of understand it, since she was going to be competing against her husband that season. But I don't really understand why the other two didn't give it another go.

Great new thread, hikari! I'm casting my votes for Nathan Fillion from Castle but I also love your idea of having Craig Ferguson on the show!!! He's hysterical, a bit self-depracating, gracious, and adorable !! Have him on with Nathan and Maks, and I'll be moving to CA to sit in the audience all season! Don't they always look for a comedian, and an actor from the current (or previous) line-up on abc? Well, here it is!

What about David Cassidy or Bobby Sherman? Teen heartthrobs! That was many moons ago, but I would be glued to the show every week.

Thanks and I'm happy to see that people have some great ideas for casts to come. Nathan Fillion is new to me this season as well since I only started catching a few epis of "Castle" after DWTS. I heartily second that nomination.

Somebody also mentioned Kelly Ripa, who I think could manage to go quite far. I'd see her with Damian.

Casting a celeb is tricky . . .on the one hand, they need to find viable contenders with some coordination, stamina and ability so they can actually do all these rehearsals and performances without embarrassing themselves, and yet, our celebs need to have the requisite sense of humor and fun about the whole thing as well. They need to be entertaining to watch, not just competent. I sure would be scared to death to be on, so I give kudos to every star who's said 'yes' and tried, even (okayillsayit Kate.

Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni would be contenders--both are certainly in shape. Hey, the entire cast of the original Law & Order is now unemployed . . .a Sam Waterston paso, anybody? An Anthony Anderson Argentine tango? A Sisto samba? Heck, yes . . .if Jeremy Sisto grows the beard back, I say cast him!

Now that Lost is over - how about Josh Holloway (Sawyer)?

I haven't seen many baseball players on. I know it conflicts with the season, but maybe someone who has recently "retired"???

And karalott - please no Kendra! As a People subscriber, I know every detail about how Hank proposed, what their wedding and honeymoon were like, her pregnancy, etc. I swear that magazine must adore that girl! Just saying. . . ; )

A resounding OMG yes for our Georgia cowboy. On nights when he did the Latin dances they would have to pass out smelling salts to all the women in the audience. Those of us at home would have to fend for ourselves!
