Tom's going through each couple. He says Nicole started strong and went to perfection. I thought she started at perfection.

They really gave Niecy the 'we love you but time to go' edit last night. Nothing from Tom or Brooke about a surprising outcome yet.

College dance championship tonight, along with Dance Center ()

Len's analysis: didn't know what to do with Evan's waltz. He loved it and hated it. Thought his cha cha was too much of the era, not enough dance.

Erin had a fantastic AT and made herself a contender. Thought her rumba was too jerky.

Len's "contenders and pretenders" moment. Chad and Niecy are the latter. Didn't like his posture in the tango, loved the 60s jive, thought they got the era and dance well.

Niecy's VW was lovely. Wasn't wowed by her paso.

Zinger the ringer did no wrong. Okay, the way they picked the era, Len? They didn't exactly pick it on their own.

Last Lenism of the night: leaders and followers.

Oh gag, more butt kissing for the two "pros". The dance of the season and the dance of all seasons (laying it on a little thick Len), Zinger and Golden Boy get the freaking encore. Time for a bathroom break.

Once again, Erin and Maks get jipped out of the encore dance. First their Jive and now their AT.

Nicole & Derek's 50s paso gets the encore.

I wonder if Derek has thought about choreographing for Broadway? I bet he would be incredible.

Once again, Erin and Maks get zipped out of the encore dance. First their Jive and now their AT.

They deserved it tonight. Their AT was perfection and probably one of the best dances ever. Unfortuantely, the judges had to give the only perfect score last night to Derek, so they got screwed out of that and screwed out of an encore. And these two will get the encore next week. Mark my words. They can give Adam Carolla and Chuck Liddell encores, but somehow can't give a deserving couple one, even though they got cheated on their scores? I would love nothing more than to see these two go tonight. I'm just so tired of him and her. I hope their inflated egos take a huge beating in the finale (finishing second when they think they've got it won). But I'll have to live with my fantasy. Give them the trophy and call it a season. Hopefully Mark will be strong enough to push Nicole out of the way and hoist his buddy on his shoulders. A win for one is a win for them all I guess.

I thought both his dances from last night were choreographed more like stage dances than like ballroom dances. I was surprised that Len didn't call them on it. They were fantastic, but not the right genre.

I LOVED that dance, and loved seeing it again!
