Last night was a mess as far as the scoring went. What a crock! No way Evan should have gotten the same score as Jake. He looked fantastic out there! They ripped Evan apart and kissed Jake's butt and they get the same score?? When are they going to call Jake out on NOT IMPROVING? How many times now has he tripped during his performance? It's time for Jake to go. I hated the swing marathon. The judging for that seems so arbitrary. You can't watch that many couples dancing at the same time.
Why did Maks get called out for taking his shirt off and when Jake takes his pants off, it's great?? I love Erin and Maks but thought they were overscored when compared to Evan. The judges comments and scoring were all over the place last night.
I can't get into Erin's thread, for some reason, so I'll just post my thought here.
WHO in the world designed her costume? I thought it was simply awful and probably didn't help her scores at all. You couldn't see her lower body movement at all. It was too bulky, wide, and way too long. Bad.
Erin is a good, progressive dancer and her scores from CA and Bruno reflected that last night – just cuz Len is stuck on the choreography (which Bruno rightfully yelled at him for) then he’s nuts (and clearly the Simon of DWTS)

Except for Jake who I thought was overscored and Erin who I thought was underscored by Len (Bruno was right, Erin should not have been penalized for the choreography) I think that the scores were fair. Evan danced well, but he looked like a figure skater out there, not a samba dancer. He had zero hip action going on. I agree with the judges that the samba was not suited to Evan's style. It plays to his weaknesses, not his strengths. I'm rooting for him and Erin though, and I shuddered every time they showed the clip of him falling on his head. OUCH.
Since Evan is continuing to do ice skating while learning ballroom dancing, it must be hard at times to separate the two. Yes, sometimes it does look more like he is ice skating or doing ballet rather than ballroom dancing, but I give him a lot of credit. With his schedule it must be hard to switch back and forth between ice skating and ballroom dancing ... not to mention exhausting. He is one of my favorites, and I sure hope that he is not in the Bottom 2 tonight.
It just looked like chaos to me. It should be arranged and shot in such a way that the viewers can see each couple's routine distinctly and compare their opinions with those of the judges. The order in which each couple was eliminated meant nothing to me because I couldn't see what they were doing. Mainly I just waited for the whole thing to be over.
On another topic, am I the only one who thought Chad's little chart about football plays and the remaining couples was really funny? I think he's witty and has a great sense of humor and would like to see him next season involved in that routine that Kenny Mayne does (Dance Central, I think is the name of it) with Len and Jerry Rice. Chad can take Jerry's place.
